What is impressive in each and every DM live is the performative accuracy. No bargains, no shortcuts and no drudgery.

I remember him singing this with an orchestra in Dallas back on the Devotional Tour almost 24 years ago. The first time I saw DM in concert. Such memories. This song is just so beautiful and Martin's vocals are just perfect -one of my favourites. Still love it after all these years...

I was at that show too, and it was AMAZING! First time for me as well. I remember they had the backup singers! Such an awesome time.

'well, i'm down on my knees again, and i pray to the only one, who has the strength, to bear the pain, to forgive all the things that i've done, oh girl, lead me into your darkness, when this world is trying its hardest to leave me unimpressed, just one caress from you and i'm blessed...' beautiful!!!

I have to say that Alan Wilder was a genius ! It was not only Martin voice and lyrics, but music arrangements made from Alan what made of this a a great track !

@@DxModel219 - Actually, that makes sense. Alan was the only one of them that had formal classical training. Not that it diminished the musicianship and creativity of the rest of the band, of course.
@DxModel2192 жыл бұрын
@@eat_pray_porg8450 absolutely agree. Malone may have arranged the strings but it was Alan that had to arranged everything together in the end and with a classically trained ear it was done perfectly. Alan had full control of the instrumentals and I had no doubt he played a big part of this arrangement
