I had tears in my eyes, my breath caught, no other ballad in the world is as expressive, as beautiful as this one by Alan Gore and Alan Wilder. Depeche Mode a gift that we have to appreciate. And I'm a 57-year-old man who's been through all stages of life and I'm really tough, but I'm melting like I did when I was at the Depeche Mode live concert in Pasadena in 1988. My wife and I are big, eternal Depeche Mode fans.

That ship has sailed unfortunately, especially after Andy’s passing? If Wilder returned, it would make Fletch look like THE guy who caused him to leave in back in ‘95?(which isn’t the case). Gore would never allow it, plus Wilder has his own thing going on, and he’s quite content. All we have are great memories friend! Cherish them.

I've always felt Alan was the best compliment to Gore and Gahan. And since he's been gone... none of their post 4 albums really have the musical resonance nor emotion that previous albums had with Alan. He always felt like the musical orchestrator, and performer of the band. Alan worked endlessly with each of Gore's songs - to guide them in a direction that gave us such iconic anthems. Now... DM relies on outside producers to give them their sound. And it hasn't worked as well IMO.

Mano Dievai, until about 1:20 Alan plays in the dark!😳 He is a virtuoso, the notes of his melodies are written in his heart.🫶Many people play this melody beautifully. And only Alan with a soul. Alan+Martin= singles whith soul💚💚In there moment I love them equally.🤗🤗 I'm ready listen and see it's forever 😊❤❤

As in the good old days - Martin sings damn beautiful but misses notes, Alan plays flawlessly. Perfect duet:)

just a rehearsal but one that really touched me! like all the other fans, I too wish Alan could rejoin the band so badly, especially after watching this performance & the one at RAH. it's like nothing ever happened, he looks so right on that stage with them. but I don't think he wants to be in a band at this stage in his life. we can only hope this will be repeated again some day. this just shows that time heals old wounds, the past is in the past, Alan & DM are still good friends. I am happy :)

I like that at the start they're talking in the background. It's just like in the original album performance.

Depeche Mode lost their core soul when he left. He was the talent the technician and the backbone of the group . They should’ve paid more attention too him.
