I had tears in my eyes, my breath caught, no other ballad in the world is as expressive, as beautiful as this one by Alan Gore and Alan Wilder. Depeche Mode a gift that we have to appreciate. And I'm a 57-year-old man who's been through all stages of life and I'm really tough, but I'm melting like I did when I was at the Depeche Mode live concert in Pasadena in 1988. My wife and I are big, eternal Depeche Mode fans.

That ship has sailed unfortunately, especially after Andy’s passing? If Wilder returned, it would make Fletch look like THE guy who caused him to leave in back in ‘95?(which isn’t the case). Gore would never allow it, plus Wilder has his own thing going on, and he’s quite content. All we have are great memories friend! Cherish them.

I've always felt Alan was the best compliment to Gore and Gahan. And since he's been gone... none of their post 4 albums really have the musical resonance nor emotion that previous albums had with Alan. He always felt like the musical orchestrator, and performer of the band. Alan worked endlessly with each of Gore's songs - to guide them in a direction that gave us such iconic anthems. Now... DM relies on outside producers to give them their sound. And it hasn't worked as well IMO.
