The goal was to take sonic elements and incarnations of gear that would have been used during the recording of Black Celebration, Music for the Masses and Violator.
Since Exciter, I have always fantasized about re-imagining the sonic flavours and tone colours that are heavily influenced by a combination of productions by Daniel Miller, Gareth Jones, David Bascombe, Flood, Vince Clarke, Alan Wilder and Martin Gore.
Sounds are all original and come from the following gear:Waldorf PPG Wave 3.0V, Sequential Pro One (broOne), EMU Emulator IIV(Arturia), Yamaha DX7IIFD, Roland TR8S using only the FM synth engine for drums. DAW used is Bitwig. Most of the mastering chain is Softube plugins TubeTech EQ into Weiss into ProL2.

This was an unexpected revelation to discover. I've had this on 'loop' while writing a difficult chapter of my book, but it relaxed me into a 'drift' where I can ignore the distractions around me. Music unlike any other form of communication is the closest to godliness that we may get. I feel this remix was so clean, crisp, and relevant it simply oozed out and away onehow too other people somehow. That's what I call magic from my point of view. Terrific with some sublime texture, but I'm also guessing it was done with an analogue synthesizer, because it kept its warmth. As the Executive Review Editor for Sony, I really wish there were a category to give credit to the master's of the art of 'remixing'. Shamefully there isn't, but take my complement as gesture enough. Thank you.....

Thank you for the kind words and thoughts. Good luck with your book. The video description has the gear I used. I didn't just use analogue types of synthesis, I used everything. FM, Wavetable, Analogue and Virtual Emulation.
