"Music ain't got no color". That's a strong statement, and in the reality of today I wish that we could live what brings us together rather than what divides us. Thank you for the great reaction video. Some day, in a perfect world we can look at the meaning of what we say or sing rather than how we look when we deliver that message. Again, thanks again for the great reaction. That being said "Baby Baby, I'll get down on my knees for you" has been a panty drop moment since 1965. Keep up the great content.

To answer your question, they weren't actual brothers. As I'm sure you know, the term "brother" is often used among friends who share an ideal but aren't related by blood. They got their name when playing at a military base and some African-American marines heard them and shouted out "man you sound righteous, brother!" They liked it and the name stuck. If you liked this one, check out Soul and Inspiration; it was written as a follow-up to the success of this song and peaked at #1 in the US for three straight weeks in 1966.
@Zerox_Prime2 жыл бұрын
I add this comment, because I enjoyed your reaction video. "The Righteous Brothers" were given their name by Black Marines at El Toro. The Marines also coined the term "blue-eyed soul" after the duo. Among the Righteous Brothers' inspirations was Ray Charles, whose rendition of "Eleanor Rigby" is one of my favorites. Good job, young man!

I'm 39 years old and I married my husband when I was 17 (married 22 years). We had/have a special kind of love from the very beginning. The lovin' "feeling" can go away due to all kinds of circumstances like stress, major life changes, taking each other for granted, working too much, bitterness and unforgiveness from offenses that add up over time, not understanding how to honor each other, etc. People are too quick to throw away a relationship due to not feeling in love. It can come back, believe me, and then some! Just like the song says, "Bring back that lovin' feeling." People's love can wax cold, but with humility, forgiveness, and honor, it can be rekindled and the relationship can be better than ever. Also, when you stopped the video upon seeing Bill singing, I thought you were going to say what several other black guys said, "I thought he was black." You totally took me off guard when you said Abraham Lincoln. I see it now. 😅

Love your enthusiasm. They weren't really brothers. The Lincoln looking guy (LOL) is Bill Medley. The blond with the higher voice was Bobby Hatfield. Sadly Bobby passed away in 2003. Bill is alive and was still performing until the pandemic hit. The term blue-eyed soul was coined for them. Other songs to react to: Bobby's solo live performance of Unchained Melody from 1965 Bill's solo of I Just Wanna Make Love to You (unfortunately not live) Both guys live: (You're My) Soul and Inspiration Both live with girl group The Blossoms: The Night Time Is the Right Time

Falling for someone is exciting, when the excitement wears off you can see the other person more clearly. You may start to really notice little or big things you overlooked before. A lot of people are only infatuated, not really in love, and that doesn't last. You both may find out the other is completely different than thought, once they relax more over time with you. If you want the other one to be happy more than you need them to be who you thought they were, you just may be really in love. Having been hurt or betrayed before, erodes confidence, which stops us from feeling or giving as much trust as we did previously, which makes any new relationship not grow so well. All this can be a mine-field, it takes work to have things work out well. All the best.

When it comes to love, you have to always promise to love more than one person when you’re in a relationship. Because, people grow and change, you have to learn to love every version of that person as time goes on. When I say love more than one person, you’re loving every stage that one person goes through. Some people can’t handle the changes in life.
@theethicalostrich13882 жыл бұрын
"Falling in love" is fun and exciting. It is new and different. Real life (or at least the stresses thereof) rarely intrudes into the relationship. This is commonly referred to as the "Honeymoon Period". Then real life sets in. You get the see the whole person in the best and worst lights and situations. You have to reconcile your habits and lifestyle with those of a completely different person. Change is hard, especially when we have to change in ways we didn't anticipate. You may think that the way your spouse does some things is weird or even downright stupid (and your spouse doubtless thinks the same thing about how you go about many different things). Life stresses are now intertwined with your spouse. Have you heard the term "This is not what I signed up for" All relationships that last ant significant length of time reach this point. Most react in 3 different ways. 1) They leave. They think things like "This is not what I signed up for" or "you are not the same person I married". They think they have "fallen out of love". Unless they learn, they will just repeat the cycle with each partner. 2) They stagnate. They just stay together out of momentum and convenience. This is really just a delaying action. If they don't work on their relationship, their love and eventually their relationship will crumble and die of starvation. 3) They love each other. Relationships take work. This means doing things, often annoying, difficult, or even painful things, that show her how much she means to you. Couples that do this end up being happier and more in love even after decades of marriage than they were when they were in the honeymoon stage.

The quickest answer to how that loving feeling can fade (at least for women) is the partner not carrying 50% of the emotional labour. If your mother doesn’t like being forgotten on her birthday, don’t make me the only one that remembers that. You can see as much as she can the dishes in the sink, that there is only one roll of toilet paper left or there’s only enough milk for one more day…why is she the only one that remembers we all have to eat every night and that someone needs to have a plan for what that’s gonna be?! Just my 2 cents. Also, I love that you loved this song, it’s the definition of “an oldie, but a goodie” 😊

You are a really young man. People can change over time, become different people, fall out of love with one another and negative traits that may have appeared small at the beginning may become more magnified the longer you know someone. In the heat of love, at the beginning, people get so swept up in the feeling that they ignore some of the more unpleasant characteristics about their partners. Those things become harder to ignore as time goes by.

How do people lose the love? Was it ever really love? Damn! I don’t know if you (or most people watching this) actually realize how deep that question is. Maybe you should look at a future in Psychiatry. This song is ridiculously accurate in its slow separation. From my personal experience, I’d say I’ve only actually been in love once, but we were young. And as time went on I started to grow into a different person, with a different idea of what I wanted my life to be. So I left. However, to this day, I do still love him and always will. He’s a great guy and we had a lot of good times together. So I’m not sure if real love ever fades. But my life took me on a path away from his. IDK, it’s complicated. But damn good for you for thinking that deeply about it. It’s a damn good question. ❤

I feel that love is the same as food. Like for example, you find a new burger at In-n-out that you absolutely adore but after eating it constantly almost everyday it starts wearing off on you (I know this feeling first hand). Just like love. It’s unique at first because it’s someone that you found attractive and you can finally show them what you’ve had trapped inside you for some time. But then after a while it becomes the norm seeing them every single day and being with them constantly especially when you live with one another you can see how it gets tiring. It loses its spark just like everything else in the world.
