A CubeSat is one of the latest technologies in low orbit data collection. Brandon Pearson, STEM Director with NearSpace Education, demonstrates how these small satellites are launched into orbit.

No that's not enough force for 10-15 thousand miles an hour. It's enough force to separate it from the rocket with ease. The rocket is what gets that sat up to speed.

Yeah, I was confused by that too. But it looks like it was edited with a cut to make it sound like that's what he said so maybe he actually said something else.

You add Hydrogen thrusting Pito tubes around the axis of the framework so it can move

Do that on the ground it's littering, do it in space it ScIeNcE! Y'all gonna clean them up when they fail, or do y'all just launch them?

How the hell are you going to get it back down bro it stays up there. They degrade over time (not like trash on earth, they usually don’t last very long). A lot of them fail early on and become space debris. There’s a lot of room in space and the only living beings it will bother at the moment is us. A lot of the degradation happens within the first few weeks after launch. They’re traveling super fast in conditions with lots of floating debris around them so they break often and fall apart pretty fast.

If a spring can go 10 15k why not use a magnetic sling shot to send them through the solar system your welcome
