I'm a big fan of the Studio Fix and the old-style Makeup For Ever pallets. I will line my pallets with clear film barrier (Clear Barrier Film, 4 Inches x 6 Inches, 1 Box of 1200 Sheets- on Amazon) it makes cleaning fast and easy. I just pull the film up and dispose of it and replace it with new sheets. Fast, easy, and hygienic.

If your client is looking for heavy full coverage, this layered over foundation would give them the KZbin effect, but generally for day to day applications for my clients it would be too heavy over foundation.

You would just have to be more cautious about depotting because the product is more likely to break. I would say to make sure you give the glue a good chance to melt, and have the appropriate tools so you aren't forcing the product out of the package which may cause a break.

I have been working with mac for years. The products are great and they have never failed me. However, when I am in the store I find that the employees are condescending and sometimes streight up rude. I go in with a list. I do mostly bridal and special events and I know after almost 13 years of experience what works for me. Don't get me wrong, I am always into trying new things, but mac rarely comes out with new things. I just shop online now because I don't feel like dealing with the rude employees.

Hi! You definitely can, you would have to secure them back into their compact with a glue dot, double sided tape, etc.

When you work on certain sets you can’t wear outdoor shoes inside (in homes, on seamless backdrops) so we often pack slippers and shoe covers to wear.

Hi! I just watched your cleaning / sanitizing video (and subbed, because super useful information!) and I have a question. I have a Kryolan cream foundation kit that I want to take with me to do makeup for a friend's photo shoot, but I've used a couple of the foundations on myself (with double dipping). Is it possible to sanitize these cream foundations to use on others? I'm hoping it will be safe if I spray 70% alcohol on them like you showed for doing on powder products. Thanks! :)

Hey Megan! For me that’s a no - I personally wouldn’t risk it. Creams are the quickest to harbor bacteria.

I realize I will need to buy more than I thought, because almost everything I own is something that has touched my skin in some way and can't be properly sanitized, even little things I wouldn't have thought about before. Like glitter glue and eye primer...I've always applied by squeezing a bit onto my finger but now I know that it's not sanitary to use on others either because there's an entry for bacteria into the tubes. In the meantime I've been listening to your videos the whole time I sit here planning what I need to put together and I'm learning so much. :) Have a great day, and thank you so much for answering my question!

Yes the Studio Fix powder is in a pan that is glued into the compact so you would have to melt the glue to remove it.
