In this video I’ll travel to Batumi, the palm tree paradise of Georgia, compare it to Dubai, try coffee in coffee shops of Batumi, search for capybaras and seagulls, pet stray dogs and have a lovely walk at the beach. So hop on this ride with me!

Nice seeing you again. I spent my whole life working never having enough money to go anywhere. If I did it was only a few hundred miles from home. So when I bought a house it was in an area where many people from the city go on vacation. It's great to see a young person traveling the world and not slaving away just to get by. Thanks for letting us look at places we'd never be able to see because we're all too old and worn down. Say Hi to Natty.

The pigeon wasn't looking for food, but sand. Birds don't have molars so they have a pouch called a crop (also call gizzard) where food goes to get pounded mechanically before hitting the stomach. Mama birds feed babies with this and it's called crop milk. Oh and some dinosaurs also had a crop but used much larger rocks instead of sand in their crop. 😂

ikwym about temperature & humidity. In the UK we mostly get humid wind from the Atlantic ocean, making it feel damp a lot of the time. It's so much nicer when we get dryer air from Europe, both when it's hotter and colder. Congratulations on 50k 🎉🎈🍾

Two weeks ago I heard about a Capybara Cafe (Tokyo), so my first thought was "We MUST get Alena there"! I am glad you had the experience. ☕ The giant flip flop is sitting on the eggs so that the eggs will hatch out the new baby flip flops! Several years ago I was watching a huge fireworks show celebrating American Independence Day. My neighbor was talking, with tears in her eyes, about how it was the most beautiful thing to have freedom of choice and actions, and the potentials in America. She grew up in central Moscow. That sums up a lot right there.

In Hong Kong, the government estate we lived in had three steel tubes built into the conconcrete for holding bamboo poles for air and sun drying the clothes. It's less environmentally damaging than the typical way of drying clothes here using much electricity.

That's so much like my city, we have a sail boat building like in Dubai, i don't like them either, they are too expensive to live in for me anyway. I have lived here all my life, but i don't like architecture that is too elitist give me brutalism ( style of architecture like in soviet countries ) if we cant have houses for everybody, but yeah, similar place with high humidity that makes you sticky all the time and crave air con, ha ha.and too many rich making the standard of living very hard for us here. Lots of love to you gorgeous Alena, from spring time in Sydney ( Australia ) !!!

great work, I enjoyed the weird gravel beach expanse. Interesting buildings, will they find people to pay the service charge ? and the air conditioning bill ?
@solconcordia4315
@solconcordia4315 4 күн бұрын
The "gravel" beach means that Batumi is downhill from mountains with rocks being eroded. It's the Caucasus mountains. The rounded stones resulted from the waves grinding the fallen rocks. The waves' energy came from the wind and storms acting upon the Black Sea. The assortment of "weird" gravel means that there are different types of minerals there. As for whether there will be people who will be able to pay the service charge, the answer is usually yes as long as the security situation is fine. Both Sarajevo and Beirut ("streets paved with gold" "Paris of the Middle East") were nice cities before wars ravaged them. The key to a good place for business development is political stability. Georgia is flip-flopping on the edge of greater powers (the E.U. and the Russian Federation) so it's a bit precarious. To the affluent northern European travelers, however, balmy and humid weather may very well be what they look for (yes, brighter sunshine ☀️ can be an antidepressant which is rarer in northern Europe than in Georgia). My own birthplace, Hong Kong was balmy and humid in 黃梅天 in which walls can sweat ! It was still a great tourist destination. I loved going to the many beautiful beaches over there, despite not knowing how to swim (primarily not knowing how to breathe and float but I knew many forms of peddling styles). Warm air-conditioning condensate can breed Legionnaires' bacteria so maintenance is important. I myself have learnt to manage to achieve comfort without using air-conditioning (dehumidifying and ventilation were used instead) for years now. A Batumi vacation for affluent northern Europeans is probably still considered fairly affordable so the tourism business is viable (as long as Russia isn't invading).

I am envious of the development and culture in the rest of the developed world. In America, there is very little development, very little culture. The architecture is stodgy and worn out. The venues are impersonal, drab, and very expensive. The urban streets are dirty and unsafe and the rest of the country has roads that are not maintained. There is little mass transit that is comfortable, safe, and affordable. In the cities, homeless people are piled everywhere.

Countries build these cities and it's like that Field of Dreams movie, "if you build it, they will come". They just hope it brings tourism. China has basically a small version of every famous city..which is insane but kinda interesting. I think people just mostly take wedding photos at them.

One important note about air fryers: Anything with alot of fat in it, like hamburger meat and bacon, can't be cooked in it, at least not in my Ninja AF101. The fat drips down into the bottom and starts to burn causing a cloud of smoke to billow out the exhaust.

better learn to swim now cause you would more likely survive a flood instead of going under . It is a shame that you have not learned it already. Here you learn it mostly before school and if not then in school sports. At least in central europe people can swim and had prooven it by getting a certificate or better a badge the kids show on their swim suit or shorts

The flip flops, representing mindless useless footwear, on eggs, the eggs representing fragility, is obviously a commentary on the fact that the new cultureal influences in Georgia, denegrated in this representation of flipflops, viewed as a danger to the fragile historical culture of Georgia, are not a threat to the new Georgia waiting to hatch and will be the Georgia of the future a child of the Georgia of the past. The flip flop is a temporal mistake embraced by those who offend common sense, they are harmless and Georgian culture will endure. Elena
