I suffer with depression & other mental health conditions. I need more than just generic healing . I need True Healings & Miracles. I’ve been on the Spiritual path so long. I wish to have Sri M’s Grace.

14 years ago I underwent a massive spiritual awakening and in that time through my own crazy I've seen many things which are behind the scene's of what creates such problems. I know SRI M, knows this but Guru's don't speak of specifics of karma they give suggestions usually general suggestions or a technique and often omit the specifics for it. The clearer through spiritual development you will realize more about your own journey. I have met more than a few that have stumbled through spiritual awareness and ran head into the darker side of what karma really looks like and its no fun. I assure you don't pray or make intentions for spiritual power or awareness until you are through the toughest of karma's and that takes a longer time than our eager ego's want to realize.

So you're saying we should come to a certain state of awareness and stability before we delve into the deeper states of consciousness
@Raguram...4 жыл бұрын
Very true. When we intensify the sadhana, the karmic burden increases manyfold and one has to be ready to face that as it's not going to be nice on you. Until one burns out that karmic residue, no possibility of attaining higher consciousness. There are few who have a relatively smooth ride, but then it all depends on their karmic baggage.

@@seemasharma2472 What lies behind the toughest karma's typically is things we haven't wanted to realize about ourselves and in many instances that deals with how we caused harm to self or others. We have through exploits turned away from God by being subjugating to others or sought power from darker forces. Having spiritual vision, empathic awareness and dealing with heavy karmic implications such as negative beings isn't easy. Many people who step into this journey immediately want spiritual vision, power but tapping into such things won't bring easy experiences its better to be humble and things will unfold naturally.

🕉🙏🏼I bow to you Sri M. Depression is some times a natural response to stressors that we don’t know yet how to resolve. We, Psychotherapists are here to assist the individual to realize their inner strengths to find the next step, some times we collaborate with doctors to improve the outcome. No all depressions are the same, they are as many as people dealing with it, everybody is unique. Namaste

I suffered from depression because of a divorce, so it was not chronic clinical depression, although I seem somewhat prone to depression as a result of life circumstances. Having deep chronic depression may or may not apply to what I am about to convey, but the principle is important, as relating to the endocrine system activated by kriya yoga. Long story short, kriya practice would reverse the depression I felt for a period of about one day, if practiced with sincerity, prayer and determination. These are all of course things one lacks when depressed, so one must muster the will. Use the bad feeling you feel as an offering, as it were, on the altar of your spiritual practice, before God. It is God's energy, and God can help you convert it to pure energy that you will feel (what a relief, by the way). The kriya I practice is somewhat involved. Mere meditation alone would probably not reverse the inward collapsing of the chakras that occurs with depression. But it could. Do things like reaching deep within, into each center, or whatever center feels right, bring that energy upward, focusing shambavi mudra before this, and after, and placing the tip of the tongue up and back toward the crown when appropriate to enter there, and using breath (consult an adept) to usher energy into the upper centers, and accelerating them. Create a shushumna current, pray for it, and circulate that top to bottom, getting that moving so that you are a generator of energy, not the victim of a black hole feeling. One must also of course be careful with ones thoughts throughout the day. Don't attract darkness. Don't revolve harmful thoughts unconsciously. Be alert, because this is how you bring on depression. Incidentally, various aspects of the practice place pressure on various glands, causing them to release hormones, or chemicals not sure, which a person can feel. Mood chemicals. That makes a big difference. Once this starts to occur, you can more readily summon the spiritual will and fire necessary to overcome and feel the uplifting light energy of kriya (divine energy), which is all that was ever necessary to not be depressed in the first place. Depression is the inward collapsing of the spiritual energy centers (chakras) which relate to the endocrine system. Happiness, ebullience, joy, is the billowing out of those centers. You have to take the bull by the horns, mentally and with breath grab the collapsing feeling within, use it as fuel, in effect, or fodder, and convert it into its original form (unconditioned prana) by willfully circulating it up to the top, using breath, going for that deep wholesome breath when it becomes available, and pulling your mood with it, up, high, even very high, and circulating around the spine, until the magnetism pulls you upward (happiness), not downward in a collapse (depression). Don't focus on the lower centers, just keep circulating upward, but it is an elliptical current. Circulate it with your will and love. If you can't do this, run a mile. Swim. Do serious physical exercise, best in the fresh air. That will help too. But you have to keep doing it often, circulating your breath, and not letting your thoughts get the best of you. Do kriya. It makes you good and strong, or stronger.

Along with kriya we need to practise stitapragna that is we keep happiness and sadness on equal footing, wining and losing on an equal footing this will create a balance in the system so your emotions cannot control you and that you control your emotions

Can over indulgence in yogic practices or improper practice lead to irrational or depressive states. Or states associated with madness in medical science? Would there be a cure yogically then? If yes some examples of this having happened would be welcome. Some phsychatrist will argue spirituality and religion itself is madness.
