Thank you for your tenacity! I know it took great courage to open up and be transparent. One thing I wanted to note was you have to treat people how to treat you and honestly, that never stops. Day end and day out we find something new about ourselves some we like some we don't however adjustments must be made. You are worthy; always remember that

People always say pray and yeah it’s a way to talk to yourself and receives daily aspiration but I’m not heavily religious, life is just what it is. I prefer not to be extra cloudy and I prefer to get my messages when I’m clear headed from the universe.

Shauna! First thing first! Pray!! Pray over your marriage and all the things that’s bothering you in this season! Ur husband may not be jealous, he may just be insecure and need reassurance and unfortunately, he may not express that. But after you talk to God..Write down ur current concerns, (leave the past in the past) & You should have the hard conversation with your husband and see what yall can do differently NOW to support each other rn in this season..Praying for peace and healing over ur household in whatever capacity that may look like🌷

Promise to allocate at least one day each week to yourself to do whatever you want to do! Self care is vital and I had to learn that for myself. We deserve it…..YOU DESERVE IT!!!!

I have been there! Still there!!! In 2017, Easter Weekend, I had to leave. The walls were closing in! I booked a last minute flight to Miami. Three days and two nights. I really didn’t have the money, but my card kept accepting the charges. I said it was meant to be! I needed a moment to breathe, cry and not watch a child or adult! My first was spent in the hotel bed sleeping!

My weight loss journey has caused my other half/ coparent (24 years) say some side comments about my changing body, but I think it’s because he is scared. My thoughts not his! You are not alone! We can get through this, Sis!

Good afternoon, Shauna! Much love to you on and in your journey. I had surgery myself in 2020, and there is much that you have to work through for yourself, husband, and children. What I would love for you to do is replay this video to yourself until you piece out your next steps. You already know what you want and need to do for your own, your husband's, and your children's happiness. I want you to remember back when you going through the struggle of the weight--what you said to yourself, and how you felt. Look at some of your old videos from back then, and travel backward. It's all there for you to see, if you want to see. We can't expect anyone (even our children) to love us the way that WE love, it's not realistic to do so. The point is YOU loved YOURSELF enough to do something about it and have the surgery. Now you have the time to continue to work on yourself, and gather the strength to move in whatever direction your Spirit takes you. Stop being so hard on yourself...the answer is right here for you. Continue to shine your light, and don't let anyone change who you are on the inside; it's the love of SELF that matters. You said it yourself several times...much luck and love to you

Im back on the dating scene and I have had men ask me do I cook and I tell them no because I’m a lady trucker and my daughter’s father was also a truck driver before he passed away/ retired Army… so I only have enough pots and pans for me and a significant other and I’m only four years into having a child and now she eats what I eat and she just turned four so if I go to Golden corral she still eats for free and I can just pick what I want and mostly I shop just for her because I don’t eat that much so I don’t cook all these big ass meals and do all this extra shit because I’m not gonna eat it. If anything I’m disgusted at how much people fucking eat because it be too much food… you look at it

You're not talking to yourself! You are as real as Apple pie! I love this video so much. This was the kind of vsg video I was looking for. People try to make it seem like life is so damn perfect after vsg. You're keeping it real, sis. Thank you so much. My surgery is scheduled for 8/19. I'm doing as much research as possible. If you haven't watched Dr. Vuong. He has the best channel for post and pre vsg. I will be coming back to check on how you are doing as much as I can! Thank you so much for sharing! Sorry about my grammer. I fixed some of my wording. I had just got off work and was crying with you while I was writing my comment.

@shaunachana thank you so much! I am not too worried about the surgery. I feel that by the time it comes around, I will be prepared. I'm worried about feeling how you've described. Feeling overwhelmed and emotionally tired. I am much like you , where I will work myself to the bone and never ask for help. It is that thought of if I don't do it, it won't get done. That is from raising 4 kids on my own for the past 15 years. I've taken care of everyone else for as long as I can remember. I know this is my time. I appreciate the raw transparency, your openness, and how you are truly feeling. It is always great to find real people, but not to the point of being ghetto. I'm considering starting a video diary of my own journey to help other women. So many of the channels I have watched show nothing but women all bubbley and ner a problem. I've watched a few videos about the science behind WLS and how it seriously affects your mental state because of hormone imbalance. Please make sure you take some time for yourself. Even if it is just sitting outside and listening to nature or calming music. Rewatch some of your old videos to remind yourself why you started this journey. I can tell you are a strong woman!

He was definitely a asshole for not helping you after the surgery by letting you do all the household stuff by yourself. You are married but single in a lot of ways. You’re seeing things more clearly and you are definitely in need of a break. I hate you don’t have a really good support system. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has cheated.

Most relatable video I have ever encountered on YT I was also and alone, I had VSG June 21st,I also never really included my husband along my process and he never really said anything untill the day of surgery. We’re ok now but he does make remarks where I know this decision bothered him. I’ve just been praying on it and I ask god to let it be his will and not mines ❤I hope you feel better real soon.

Whew!! Baby you are going through it but at the end of this is your breakthrough! Also some times the ppl we love the most are our greatest lesson. You probably never would’ve seen that side of him until he saw your confidence grow. He probably didn’t even know he resented you for glowing up. It’s projection, it’s not about you boo. Sounds like it’s time for you to put you first…unapologetically!

I just want to say I felt like you were describing me and where I am in my life. So, please know you aren’t alone. I think we had vsg around the same time (I had it Oct 2020). I had my surgery in January 2021, when I decided I did not get my husband advice bc I thought it was the right thing to do, after surgery you do change and thats not a bad thing but you have to remember your mate have to learn to love the NEW person that you are becoming and I think it isn't jelousy it may just be his insecurity, just as it was a adjustment for you it it surely one for him! Take some time to find you guys a therapist. I know it took my marriage through pretty much what you stated! I had to realize I was diffrent and some of the things I needed/wanted I had to communicate that to my husband bc the old me didn't require the same! It took some hard work on both our end but it had to be something that we both were willing to work on! It will get better and thanks so much for your transparency

Good Evening Shauna. Just wanted to take a moment to let you know that you have been an inspiration to me on my VSG journey. More Than Anything, Please Extend Yourself Some GRACE. GOD doesn't expect for us to have all of the answers to the things that we experience and go through. Take some time for yourself and treat yourself to doing something for you that put you in a good mindspace. As mother's and wives we subtract prioritizing our needs and wants to make sure everyone around us is okay but neglect ourselves. Remain encouraged. Definitely will uplift you in Prayer 💖

First, I want to say that I admire you for coming here and expressing your emotions and what you are going through. You were supposed to heal but as women, we are taught that we have to take care of everybody and we go last. Your husband has to help you with all of the things you are describing. It sounds like you are a single mother in a marriage. Regarding the comments, he feels insecure because you look better and feel more confident about yourself. You are burned out, if you can take a week or a month's break please do it otherwise it will affect your health in a bad way. I pray that everything gets solved for you. I am like you in that sense, I do for people but for some reason when I need the same people do not know what to do and that's how I let people go.

That was deep sis.. I’ve felt those same emotions and will help me through it. All I can seriously say it’s having a relationship with Jesus because he’s the one that’s going to get you through all difficult times and he’s the one that restores your relationship with your husband because it sounds like you still love your husband and your husband loves you and you know what if you want to have a healthy marriage then God wants you to also and he can help you with that. Just read the Bible and pray and find a church and I’m gonna be praying for you. I’m gonna put your name in my petition box and everybody in my church will pray for you..

Girl, you look amazing! Keep feeling proud of yourself because you deserve to be love, pretty. And focus and what are you going to do from now on, keep taking care of your kids, your family. Remember, Jesus loves you that way you are. Don't waste your time and energy on someone who doesn't deserve your attention, your time, your love. Maybe he realizes that he is not worthy to be with the new women who just wake up inside of you. This new woman is now more secure, stronger than ever, with a self-esteem unbreakable. Girl, I don't know you, but I assure you that any decision you would take it will be the right one on God's eyes. Remember, God's time is perfection, and things will happen when he says it will happen. God bless you and your family. Keep it up. You already have the most honest love that comes from your kids. they will always feel proud of their mother. I wish you the best. *Remember, you are strong and beautiful !!!*🙏😊🫶💪

You are a very beautiful woman and I felt like you wanted to lose weight & get healthy so you could fulfill you wants of feeling sexy and attractive and have enough energy to play with your kids and take care of household duties without being tired and sexually please your husband etc. but I also feel like he was a secret hater and stopped the process of you really being a “ quote on quote bad bitch (REACHING GOAL) because he wasn’t very supportive and he kept sneak dissing here & there. As far as communication you speak so clear and you talk to us without us actually responding to you and do all the vlogs so effortlessly & honestly. so I don’t think that’s the issue. After surgery we go through Hella mood swings, we’re not eating, we are deprived of sleep we’re dehydrated & constipated and some of us deal with acid reflux…. Hold on I’m a trucker and I have to get fuel
@Rubydiamondtrucker
@Rubydiamondtrucker 2 ай бұрын
Whatever your goal is go ahead and get down to it…. It’s been three years so why not??? The cost-of-living has went up because the economy is jacked up we’re all feeling it financially and hope is just blah these days and we just want the best for our kids and we just want peace. Having the kids back to back could’ve added a little postpartum but you didn’t recognize it. I don’t think you had to consult with your husband before the surgery I think he wasn’t as supportive after the surgery because of fear of losing you knowing you’re not that type and the attention like most men would be but hell he had to be attracted to you to be with you also. Sometimes we just grow up quicker than our partners and grow apart. As far as you’re waking up from surgery alone, you were tough enough so you did it💪🏽! Don’t short change your strength on that. so many women have their children alone, their husbands are overseas in the military, some just single mothers in general. you couldn’t have anybody in the room with you and so many people died of Covid alone. You even had it and you got through all of that….. it’s crazy to be in a marriage and still feel alone.

I feel like you are lacking romance and the simple sweet gestures and it’s OK to be complemented and flirted with when you’re out and because it helps with our confidence and gives us a boost. Remember when Ayesha Curry said the same thing and everybody just went into a huge uproar. We pretty much know it’s not nothing out here and the dating pool isn’t that great and being a single parent is something I wouldn’t wish on anybody and right now both incomes are needed so I’m not saying your marriage is over I’m just saying I feel like you have grown apart mainly because of his actions and the shit he says and he’s very inconsiderate and doesn’t think but it will work out eventually. I feel like you are in survival mode even in your own marriage. you probably have sex when you don’t really feel like it and all of that trust me you are not alone. I’ve had a nice body before it brings a lot of negative attention but I’ve came across every conversation scenario you can think of out here on the road and even when I need help so it’s really just up to you to not let things go further we just take the compliments and tell the person thank you and that’s all you really can do. You didn’t go through all that shit to be feeling like this and I that really sucks
