@@KuyaKimAtienza Yes, they are po. The sad reality with some Christians po is that they deny (or underestimate) that these mental health concerns are valid. Comments like, "You're not praying hard enough kasi kaya ganyan; Maybe there are sins left unconfessed; If you have a strong faith, you will not feel that way.", etc. are not encouraging at all and will only put others in defense-mode. We cannot magnify and rely solely to the Lord's healing power and grace if we deny our own brokenness.

THIS HITS ME HARD. My dad died so sudden I wasn't able to share with him the gospel of God. He was living his own ways. Barely had a relationship built as we become adults. He was always out, always awkward during our family gatherings, getting farther from us, sadly found out he had a small child with his mistress, month i learned before he died of heart attack. Was crying all throughout this video. Thank you for the prayers and sharing those experiences Rica and for the vlog Kuya Kim. I thank my bff for sending me this link. God truly is good! Thank you Rica for sharing. My father passed away. My sister was just diagnosed with cancer. My mom also went through Covid. I also have marital problems with husband, and my only child is suffering from mental health issues. All in one year. I have to be honest, I have been so discouraged. In fact, I was so angry with God at one point and I just wanted to be far away from him. Then I heard how God has given you hope and I am reminded how God gave me hope too 2017 when I suffered from depression and anxiety. As a depressive person at that time, I felt that there was nothing good in my life (of course that wasn't true), and the only thing that comforted me was my salvation. I memorized scriptures that promises hope, and that brought some healing to me. Although I am still a wounded person, I really could attest that God was the one who saved me from my mental illness. And I forgot about that since the pandemic. So again, thank you so much. You reminded me of God's goodness.

Kuya kim, you don’t know how much has helped me to lessen my anxiety, fear and hurt. My family is going through something specifically my dads health and we are drained physically emotionally and financially. Di natin laging alam kung ano ang pinagdadaanan nila, pero BAKA mas maintindihan ntin sila at matulungan ntin sila kung sa panandalian eh babaguhin ntin ang sarili ntin at mag adjust para maintindihan at unawain sila hanggat bumalik sila sa dating sila.. Love this episode, same as your testimonial video. The first time I found out that Rica was a Christian nung nag attend ako ng "Youth Quake" a gathering ng mga youths years ago, newly wed pa sila Ms Rica at Ptr. They went to that event and gave their testimonies. It was so inspiring to know how she prayed for the right person to come. Her testimony helped me in someway on how to find the right person for me. Ngayon may family na din ako and I am happy to hear her testimony about her family and personal issues. I also went to depression last year, it was a tough year, my relationship with family went on shambles and my mental health degrading. I also have that small percent of hope that like a very dim light in the darkness, I hold on to that with the help of our savior Jesus Christ. And this year, I feel okay and happy. I now have a good relationship with my family and a positive perspective in light. Again, Ms Rica thank you for your testimony, it inspire me to deepen my relationship with the Lord. See how God works, I’m going through a very bad insomnia that’s triggering my panic attack. It’s now 5:15am ( Las Vegas time ) and I’m still fully awake. So I’m browsing sa YT and saw KKA vlog. Only to find out that it’s about Rica’s mental health journey. I could pretty well relate to what she went through. Faith, prayers and professional help as well as good support system really help a lot. Yes we entrust ourselves completely to God and believe that He is control. Let go and let God.
