I know you're trying really hard my friend. You can stop trying to let go of the past and instead, integrate it into who you are today. There is an exercise at the end of the video for you to follow which I hope will help you.

You don't have to let it go my friends. You integrate it and make space for it with compassion and non-judgement for all you've been through. The exercise starts at 14:50 Here is the link for the video series: www.scottstemarie.com/freefromanxiety

*Accept it for what it is.* 🙏🏾💚 No amount of “woulda, coulda, shouldas” will ever change the way the past played out. 💯 …& at the end of it all, everything happened the way it was supposed to happen because it DID HAPPEN.

2:30pm EST... I've been dealing with anxiety since age 20. I'm now 59. At one point had OCD too. Therapy, medicine, nothing, stronger medicine, suicidal, behavioral hospital, back to strong medicine plus 2 antidepressants plus therapy, yoga, exercise. I have been thru hell. Only now am I really working to get a handle on this. I wouldn't expect anyone who has never experienced this to understand it. Thank your for your help Scott. ❤😊

how are you handling it. and how do you cope with the opportunities and time lost ?
@GinaMFlorida
@GinaMFlorida Жыл бұрын
@@pakiman8703 I literally take it one day at a time. Try to keep my mind busy, listen to motivational podcasts, and have come to terms with the fact that this is how God made me. I'm grateful and judge no one. If my anxiety and/or anxiety gets real bad, I get help right away...just 1 phone call. I don't wait like before...doing nothing...letting myself get so far in a hole that I can't get out of it. I had mutism. I couldn't talk. As far as opportunities, I managed to get my bachelor's degree in accounting. I kept my head in my books which took a lot of focus off my anxiety. Just 4 years after graduating I started having seizures again and my anxiety was through the roof. Developed balance disorder. Went to nursing home, now in assisted living facility. So I've missed out on the glorified career I imagined I would have and how I thought my life would be. These experiences have made me realize that people are more important than material things. I continue with my therapist, eat well, and listen to music every day.

Thanks for this message, I really needed to hear it. I've been dealing with depression for way too long and lately after somehting bad happened to me its been terrible and I dont wanna get up from bed. I dont wanna be awake (alive) most of the time. It's tough but thanks for the reminder of the accepting-the-past and continue even though it hurts. Peace from someone who met you in person back in 2019 in Mexico City.

We cannot change the past, the more we resist accepting and acknowledging our past, the more power we give it over our lives. When we acknowledge and accept what happened, we also get to decide what we make it mean - SOTICISM. Study it. :)

I think I can forgive myself for my past, especially when things go well, but I worry about what others think, the people who don't understand how I can function now when I didn't before and the people who has to look at my strange resume.

I wasted a lot of time regretting my past too. It's wasted time, worry and effort! When you take a walk, do you look behind you? Better be looking ahead of you, or you're heading for an injury. Maybe death! Watch where you're going to, not where you've been. Life is the same way! Look toward the future. Learn from the past. Don't dwell on the mistakes you made. Learn from them, and don't repeat them! That's why you have a memory! Best Wishes to ALL.

If you let go of the what you call "bad, evil, embarrassing, painful, or horrific" past , what kind of stories would you have to tell others , so they can relate to and find the strength to go on? Only succes and fun stories? Boring😊

0:09 Scott, thank you so much for taking the time to create these videos. It’s been a very rough past 7 years for me and you’ve been an amazing source of comfort, quite frankly, at times when I just felt like tapping out. I listened to your video today at work during lunch. It might as well be everything that’s inside my head. I’ve been battling to let go of things exactly the way you so articulately described. I can’t seem to let myself off the hook. I’m resigned to merely existing every day on this gerbil wheel. I pray I find peace and wish you all the blessings life can offer you. You are a beautiful person. 🙏

everyone says let go n all those let go vedio i watched sucks. It doesn't work like that! The more i try to let go the more i failed! It just impossible to do! I put pressure on me, failed, more disappointment. Now i start to accept it, stop trying to let go. It just a part of my life, i dont like it but its ok. Like, i dont like my feet, they r ugly to me, what can i do , cut my feet off? No. I accept it, they r ugly but they r there doin their work. I can stand on it the same way like the other ppl who has beautiful feet. I dont have to like every part of my life.
