This is one of my favorite udio songs. The earliest version of it was made before I discovered the function to cut my generations, let alone inpainting, which wasn´t even launched yet. I remember how frustrated I was when I prompted the next block, marking a transition to a next song section as well, shortly after the 2 minute mark, because when I finally got the right transition, udio then kind of screwed it after these great first seconds where I thought "that´s it" .... but I liked the transition so much that I still finished the song even though there were some weird progressions in there which didn´t make sense to me.
So when I then discoverd that you can crop your generations, I immediatey went back to that project and started again from that part which is now at around 2:13 and created from there I think seven more versions of the song with branching at various parts, in very small steps of always just a few seconds. After going through all of them later on, I decided this one was my favorite. And later when I had the inpainting function, this track didn´t need any further work, as the generation steps (from 2:13 on) were so small anyways.
It´s called The Endless Circle because the middle section is a loop which doesn´t give me the impression of groove, like in hip-hop beats or rock-riffs, but because of the modulation, the little variations and the swelling intensity, it seems to tell a story, an oscillation between effort and resignation... which makes the relief, when this circle is finally broken, even more powerful. Really gave me goosebumps in the beginning sometimes. In my playlist which I have conceptualized like an album, this one is the opener track.
