"Der Hohenfriedberger" (AM I, 21 (Army March I, 1c and Army march III, 1b)), also called "Hohenfriedberger Marsch" or "DerHohenfriedberger Marsch", is one of the most classic and well known German military marches. It takes its name from the victory of the Prussians over the allied Austrians and Saxons on June 4, 1745 during the Second Silesian War at the Battle of Hohenfriedberg, near Striegau.
There are many legends surrounding the origins of the march. Supposedly, the Bayreuther dragoon regiment, which was crucial in securing a Prussian victory, reported to its quarters the day after the battle while the march was played. Whether the march was actually played then is just as questionable as the claim that Frederick II of Prussia was the composer of the piece. (The melody appears to be largely derived from The Pappenheimer March, which dates from the early-17th century.) It is understood that the king issued to the Bayreuther dragoon regiment a Gnadenbrief, or "letter of grace", that authorized it to play both grenadier marches of the foot soldiers (with flutes and drums) and the cuirassier marches of the cavalry (with kettledrums and trumpet fanfare).

Der Hohenfriedberger (Armeemarsch I, 21 (Armeemarsch I, 1c und Armeemarsch III, 1b)), auch „Hohenfriedeberger“ genannt, ist einer der bekanntesten deutschen Militärmärsche. Der Name soll an den Sieg der Preußen über die miteinander verbündeten Österreicher und Sachsen am 4. Juni 1745 im Zweiten Schlesischen Krieg in der Schlacht bei
Hohenfriedberg bei Striegau erinnern.
Um die Entstehungsgeschichte des Marsches ranken sich zahlreiche Legenden. Angeblich sei das Dragonerregiment Bayreuth, das die Schlacht für Preußen entschieden hatte, am nächsten Tag mit diesem Marsch in sein Quartier eingerückt, und König Friedrich II. habe seinen Hut gezogen. Ob der Marsch tatsächlich damals schon erklang, ist ebenso fraglich wie die Behauptung, Friedrich II. von Preußen - der „Alte Fritz“ - sei der Komponist. Historisch belegt ist indessen, dass der König dem Dragonerregiment Bayreuth einen „Gnaden-Brieff“ ausstellen ließ, der das Regiment berechtigte, sowohl Grenadiermärscheder Fußtruppen mit Trommel und Pfeife als auch Kürassiermärsche der Reiter mit Pauken und Fanfaren zu spielen.

The Hohenfriedberg March was dedicated to the “Kürassier-Regiment Königin" (Pomeranian) No. 2 (also known as "Ansbach Dragoons") by King Frederick II of Prussia. Although the regiment was to deploy on the left wing at Hohenfriedberg (June 4, 1745), contrary to orders, it appeared in the center of the battle, contributing to the victory and achieving the greatest success ever achieved by a Prussian regiment on the battlefield. No less than 20 Austrian battalions were "ruined", about 4000 prisoners taken, 67 flags and five guns captured. By order of the king (until 1918) no other regiment was allowed to play the "Hohenfriedberger" when the Ansbach Dragoons were present. Because of some incidents, they were later dubbed the "Drinking Regiment" by Friedrich II. But when, on October 1, 1756, they literally saved the king from being captured by the Austrians at the last minute and almost single-handedly decided the legendary Battle of Leuthen (5 December 1757), they regained the king's esteem. Because of these successes, the regiment was not disbanded after the devastating defeat at Jena and Auerstedt (October 14, 1806). On June 18, 1815, the regiment was in reserve at Waterloo.

Kristalnacht was a direct response to a German Semite assassinating the German diplomat to Paris. The German people had enough of the internationally orchestrated boycotts and assassinations on their leaders and retaliated. Within 2 hrs orders from the top of government ordered the immediate cessation of violence. It was a reaction to growing tension not a random act of hatred as it’s portrayed in the media
