Prior to WW1 in 1914 it was anecdotally said that there were 3 'perfect' organizations in the world, namely the Roman Catholic Church, the German Army, and Standard Oil Company of New Jersey.
@richardkluesek43015 жыл бұрын
@Hammerschlägen M That was about 1910, and the "perfection" referred to at the time was the absolute obedience to the Pope, as in the German Army absolute obedience to the Officers, and in the case of Standard Oil of New Jersey, absolute obedience to the Rockefellers. So the "perfection" was really quite sinister.

I wonder what would had happened if the Kaiser wouldn't have given the Austrians a blank check. Germany did not had to enter an unnecessary war just because the Austrians wanted to conquer Serbia. Serbia had agreed to everything contained in the Austrian ultimatum. It was Austria's ambitions and the foolishness of the Kaiser that sank Germany into a war that it could not win.

As far as I know, Serbia declined Austria's ultimatum. 🙃
@zeusapollo6504 Жыл бұрын
Well, you are wrong and i am austrian. Not proud of what happened there, but Serbia declined every demands. And our Kaiser Franz was very very old in his mid 80ies, his military advisers pushed for war he just signed it, because they urged him to do so and because of the honor lost, assassination + beeing not exactly cooperative is no way how to deal with the highnesses of the empire. War declaration was only wrong, because Austria was not prepared for it. Its not exactly a militaristic empire like prussias' germany. Serbia wanted to be a great serbie too, and was a rival of austria. Austria had to do something about it. Nobody involved in pre WW1 affairs wanted a peaceful solution, they wanted that war. If that asssination or blanko check did not happen, the war would still happen in one way or another.
