That's funny. The Eastern Bloc, actively suppressed religion. This includes Christianity. An counterargument you would make is that there was churches in the Eastern Bloc. But those were Orthodox Christian churches, not Catholic. You should see more about how people who wanted Christianity or affiliated with Christianity got suppressed and that kind of stuff by searching up "Persecution of Christians in the Eastern Bloc" on Wikipedia.
