KR line pe freight traffic is low but the line is already saturated, which means for traffic to increase, track doubling is a must. Atleast line ahead of Veer till Chiplun, Vaibhavwadi Rd till Madure and Honnavar - Thokur must be doubled, then Chiplun-RN and Pernem-Karmali, Madgaon- Honnavar line can be doubled. Even Panvel - Roha line has tunnels but CR doubled and electrified the line within time.

As doubling is not possible in chiplun-Ratnagiri section then both the railway projects karad chiplun and vaibhavwadi-kolhapur can be used as alternative or bypass route in case of any accidents in chiplun-Ratnagiri section. For that kokan railway needs to connect karad-kolapur directly as current karad-miraj-kolhapur route is longer route.

Pune should be connected directly to konkan railway.Currently it has to go via panvel.Pune can be joined to Roha.

Correct Sir, pune can be connected to kokan Railway thru Tamhani ghat. It can be also be connected thru ghat section in Satara-mahad/poladpur section which can bring Mahabaleshwar on Railway map. But tamhani ghat is the best option as it will connect with Raigad,Ratnagiri and Sindhudurga district. The satara-mahad ghat section will skip Roha,nagothane.

Kokan railway is totally focussed on north-south connectivity and is completely missing east west connectivity within chiplun sawant wadi section. As arabian sea is on west side if kokan railway, the only option remains to cross the ghat and move eastword to central railway line which will also help to generate more revenue for kokan railway

Kokan railway is not able to understand the risk factor. Once the train leaves panvel, then there is no interconnectivity with any other railway line till londha station.Although Panvel-ratnagiri- londha section runs parallel to pune-Miraj-Belgauv section however there is a hindrance of western ghat between these 2 lines which acts as natural wall. In Chiplun-ratnagiri-Sawant wadi section you will find western ghat on one side and arabian sea on other side. Hence the solution is connect central railway and konkan railway by creating ghat sections or else creat konkan costal railway by creating sealinks or viaducts...

Exlleent video. Thanks too much. Please make video on current work status of Kolhapur vaibhawadi rail line work. This route is good conectivivity between konkan railway and central railway department. This route will be used as alternatively route in rainy season because land Sliding events and flood affects in rainy season every year and rail timetable of konkan railway and central railway offtenly is collapsed. Ports and harbour in konkan region will will be connected to all industrial hub cities and religious cities like Kolhapur Satara Pune Ahamadnagar Latur Beed Nanded Parali vaijanath Parabhani Solapur Aurangabad Shirdi Paithan Adilabad Pandharpur Hyderabad Govalkonda Vishakhapattanam Bhuvaneshwar Bidar Bagalkot Bijappur and Bellaire by shortest distance. Goa state and beautiful konkan will be connected to rest part of Maharashtra North part of Karnataka ,Andhra Pradesh Telangan Madhya Pradesh and Odessa also by shortest distance. With help of this route growth of commons trade Agriculture Tourism will be developed and time and money will be saved.. This route is sanctioned in February 2016 INDIAN RAILWAY BUDGET and Honourable former railway minister Mr SURESH PRABHU has sanctioned Rs 250 crore to this project but this project is not completed yet. Members of the parliament from Maharashtra and RAILWAY OFFICERS should pay attention to this matter. Thanks once again for informative video.

Look at the situation. Both the ghat sections of kalyan-karjat-pune and kalyan-kasara-nashik are affected because of land slide. Mumbai-ratnagiri-Sawantwadi suspended because of chiplun flood. The natural calamities have cut down mumbai from rest of maharashtra due to suspension of mumbai-nashik, Mumbai-Pune and Mumbai-Ratnagiri railway sections. If palghar,vasai virror situation worsens then mumbai-ahmedabad-Delhi can also be affected. Which means mumbai can be cut off from entire nation by railway route. This is the reason why there is need of 3rd ghat section which will open up another railway route to connect mumbai with rest of india. Kalyan-nagar 3rd ghat project is important from the perspective of disaster management.

Apart from karad-chiplun and vaibhavwadi-kolhapur another route belgaon-sawantwadi railway route can also be considered which will ensure alternative route for entire chiplun-Sawantwadi section.

As the local MP frm this area is now in Union cabinet ministry, he should at least try to push Kalyan-Murbad 28 km phase of kalyan-Ahmednagar railway. Minister of state-Railways is also from marathwada. As this project will help in connecting marqyhwada directly with mumbai he shpuld also take interest in completing this project. Once the construction process of kalyan-Murbad phase starts, pressure will automatically built for extending it saral gaon,Malshej And ultimately to junnar,Otur and nagar...

It shluld not be ray of hope now it has become an obligation as kalyan-murbad railway was one of the key point in his speeches during 2019 elections. He was the one who was there in innaugaration of Kalyan-murbad Railway project. Hope that he will not forget his commitments. Hope this will not remain as an election Gimic

@@sachinnewaskar3920 Rsosaheb Danve from Jalna is MoS railway. He along with another minister from Aurangabad Mr.Bhagwat Karad must push for Aurangabad - Pune via Nagar, Kalyan -Nagar at tbe earliest.This is the best chance to speed up things for Nagar and Aurangabad.

This route is sanctioned in February 1916. In February 1921 railway department sanctioned 1000 Rs .It too much amount. Thanks too much for railway department. This is not responsibly of public.but railway officers should pay attention to this matter.

The work of Kolhapur vaibhawadi rail line must be started as early as possible because this route is good conectivivity between konkan railway and central railway department. Goa and konkan region will be connected by shorter distance to Kolhapur Sangli Satara pune Ahamadnagar Latur Beed Nanded Parali vaijanath Parabhani Solapur parbhani Latur Beed Nanded Bidar Hyderabad Govalkonda Pandharpur Solapur Vishakhapattanam Amaravati Vijaynagar (Andhra Pradesh) Bagalkot and Bellaire by shortest distance. This route will be used as alternatively route in rainy season. Land Sliding on tracks oftenelly took place in on tracks in rainy season on konkan railway tracks and on central railway tracks at Karjat and kasara ghat section. This route will be used as multi state among Kerla,Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangan and Odessa. Thanks too much for good video with explanation and photography.

पहले ट्रँक डबलिंग होना जरुरी है...दादर- सांवतवाडी तूतारी एक्सप्रेस बारा घंटा लेती है...अभी नये मुबंई-गोवा हायवे से बाय रोड.. बस से सांवतवाडीतक आठ घंटे मे सफर हो जाएगा ...वैभववाडी-मडूरे(सांवतवाडी) मार्ग पर डबल ट्रँक होना जरुरी है..इस 88 किलोमीटर मार्ग पर एक भी टनेल नही है..आसानी से डबल ट्रँक हो सकता है

If kokan railway is not interested in interconnectivity project with central railway then they should hand it over both the projects to MRIDC maharail, a 50:50 percent JV of central and state govt which is currently working on pune-Nashik semi high speed railway. It is not that kokan railway lacks ability to complete these projects but the issue is with willingness ability of kokan railway is not questionable but willingness is certainly questionable.
