Konkan railway should focus on east west connectivity projects in chiplun-Ratnagiri section instead of track doubling which can be possible by katad-Chiplun and vaibhavwadi-kolhapur section. Pune-miraj and konkan raikway roha-madgaon section runs paralle to each other separated by natural wall of western ghats and meets each other in londha. Between panve to londha section no east-west railway connectivity is there currently. Kokan railway should do cost benefit analysis of east west railway connectivity vs track doubling. East west connectivity seems to be more important from the point of revenue generation as it will connect kokan railway chiplun ratnagiri section to highly profitable solapur-hyderabad-chennai corridor.

Everyone is saying that Kalyan Ahmednagar railway line project should be shifted from Central Railway and Western Railway to Konkan Railway. Everyone thinks that Konkan Railway will work better and sooner. then why KRCL ignoring Electrification early and doubling the track early as soon as possible on ther self route konkan route. So what is the exactly reason behind this?
