I found this version to be a bit more planted as well but I used 15mm wheel spacers from day 1. Also just picked up 1/12 scale wheels originally for the HBX. Oh and I used a strap instead of the the stupid latch. Only one outta 4 of my 1/16 scale hyper go's had a plastic frame with strap and that was the MEW4 truck variant, though the ESC is 35A brushless with built in RX and motor is a little smaller I believe, and its limited to 2s. Think they all have butter diff gears.

Pretty neat. I'm not really interested in the big wheel trucks but your content is enjoyable. The more I'm learning about what motors are used in the different cars and scales makes me realize 6000kv in 1/18 scale 2wd is insane. Very happy with my little dirt missile, just not so much with customer service. Not sure why they couldn't just mail me out a 50 cent part. Maybe because the whole assembly costs $20 and that's all they sell.

Yes he is!!! I feel that battery would cost even more to make, but luckily they seem like they may have stopped making them that way. I’m working on some first stuff, just not sure how I’m setting it up yet. I think it’s just gonna be a dirt area with a big mound or two for jumping! So fun!

You can always use hot glue as well for the battery end just throw a glob in there just far enough away from stearing link should be just fine

I really like these cars, I have two of them now. One I strickly run on 3s, I have the better diffs and other gears in (still never broke a diff). One I use only 2s on and just have the spare diffs from the 3s one in case they ever break. I have broken both rear body mount things on them and one rear shock tower. Also broke one front steering knuckle, and tore a tire lol. Still great fun lol, I send them into the trees.

I agree totally about the handling as even though I am not a great driver it makes it look like I am blind man driving. Got for my daughter but she prefers my Ftx appache as she says it's easier to drive while I have to constantly run over to put the 16208 back on its wheels. If running off-road it just bounces and is like controlling a pogo stick.

I have this.. actually love it. Took out the battery holder, wrecked a couple times replaced the front lowers , changed to my radiolink rec. And use a 3s ..it screams on 3s. I'm putting the stock rec. Back in, the gyros suck on radiolink. I still haven't learned how to calibrate my rc4gs.. any videos on that??

They have not fixed the fan problem yet on these models, on the 16207 it has been relocated to the side of the motor instead of halfway on top of it, so the fan will not get smashed to bits immediately when the car lands hard on its roof.

@creepingtod yes. hypergo makes a ton of versions of the hypergo 1/16 they just have different body mounts/bodies, shock length or other small differences, I have bought 6 different models and swapped bodies on some of them(must have the same front bumper or you have to swap those too. Some of the brushed models do have plastic gears, half the axles are plastic etc that makes it cheaper and less strong.

0:57 The best way to increase your rc's suspension travel, is to buy airplane tickets to Europe and back, pack the shocks in a bubble envelope, and send them on a journey. This way, the suspension will have some couple thousands miles of travel, by the time they get back. 😅😂🤣

Can confirm all good, for some longer shocks with more travel now this thing jumps awesome and doesn't bottom out, and can actually get through the grass now. But now I’m thinking bigger tires. I just can’t leave well enough alone.

I'm looking for a rc that could handle the grass really well so the dog could run after it when I don't feel like walking him. ( yea I know i'm lazy like that) Any suggestion? Yes these have a separate reciever so you can replace that and the remote and it will work.

I got this model and out of the box it struggles to register reverse. I have to press reverse like 5 times before it goes in reverse. Anyone know how to fix that?? My first rc car

Occasionally I’ll get a car that does that. Some cars won’t go to reverse until it’s completely stopped. I’m not real sure of the answer on that. Sometimes even higher end motor combos do that to me.

Hmmm. I’m not completely up on all the Deerc versions, but some of the hypergos had bad gears. The newer model that’s 14210 or something should have better ones.

Can anybody help me with what's going on I just got this car off Amazon the H16E as soon as I put it on it drives perfectly fine with the transmitter on 70% but as soon as it switches to 100 you cannot give it full throttle or it cuts out after about 1 second it launches to take off and then just cuts right out anybody else experiencing this? Customer support wasn't much help

Well that could be a battery issue or an esc issue. Usually Deerc has top notch service. Reach out to them directly if you didn’t already. You can usually even send the main Deerc Facebook page a private message about it.

@@DerbyCityRC yeah I think you might be right man I if I charge the battery to full then it will work on the 100% for about 10 minutes and then all of a sudden it will cut out when I try to pull the trigger full throttle but then I can switch down to 70% and the car will still run for another 10 minutes that's the weirdest thing about it you would think if the battery was dead it wouldn't run on either setting I am waiting on a few batteries right now because I didn't have any good LiPo batteries, so once I got one of those I will charge it and see if that changes anything. Thank you for replying though I really appreciate it
