It was a Chinese talent competition for rap artists. Victor Ma was the contestant. On this episode the contestants were required to do a duet. Victor asked Dimash to be his duet partner. It was Dimash's job to compliment Victor and make Victor shine (notice the volume on Dimash's mic was turned down very low in his opening verses). They didn't have much time to rehearse this together, but I think both of them did an awesome job. The arrangement was certainly different and interesting.

4:31 I noticed the mic sucked, 4:31 watch 5 seconds, in that 5 seconds the mic was low, it didn't work multiple times. I mean it was a broken mic lol If anyone can disprove that the mic was NOT working as intended, please enlighten me. 4:31

Well it is one of my favorites...and I am 76 yrs. old...This was a competition for professional rappers...Dimash was invited to sing with Victor....Victor was rapping in ENglish and Chinese...and since you seem to have the impression that Dimash only sings classical ballads, you need to watch his concerts on his YT channel,,,

He does one operatic song with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina "Ti Amo Cosi." It takes place during an ice show. His operatic baritone and spot on Italian makes me melt.

I absolutely agree with you 100% .i mean the beginning ,i felt like it was just an ordinary man singing on/off key.but overall it was an amazing performance.yes yes its true,left me wanting only if the first one min were impactful as his higher registers.but it goes to show that he is a human after all,and that nobody is perfect.but in my eyes and ears he is almost perfecto when it comes to vocals and performance.dimashgogo👍♥️

I think Victor Ma was in a competition and he invited Dimash to join him for the ‘duet round’ so this was really about Victor not Dimash. Dimash also does Earth Song in both his MJ tributes from the Singer and at his solo Bastau concert. 🤗🇬🇧

This was a Rap contest in China in 2018. For the final round the rapper had to do a duet with a singer. Rapper Victor Ma invited Dimash to be his partner. They performed MJ's Earth Song (as you've never heard it before). Great Reaction!!!! P.S. Victor Ma won the contest!

Agree there are some rough spots.....but like most reactors of this feel.....absolutely love it! I thought it worked really well. The ending is especially awesome. If you're looking for perfection.....go to a studio. This was a live performance in a competition Victor was in and Dimash wasn't supposed to be the highlighted act. Just add enough to give Victor his thrust. Which he totally did. Victor won. . Part of the reason you didn't understand Victor's words was because he switched between English and Chinese.

Sorry you didn’t like each has there own opinion I thought it was fantastic I like it cause they made it so different. Don’t like when people do covers and make it exactly the same never works out. Yes, I agree with you that they had Dimash's voice a bit too soft and it came across a bit shaky. I know this wasn't Dimash being highlighted, just a support artist. If you want to hear Dimash doing his own rapping listen to "Screaming" from his New York concert.
