@@seymourelykeley ok, I know that George Floyd was no Botham Jean. He did abuse drugs and he was also an ex-con. But we don’t know for certain that he knew he was using a counterfeit 20. Years ago I got some money from a bank’s ATM, and it turned out that one of the 50s was in fact a counterfeit one. But I had no idea and it wasn’t my fault because I got it directly from a BANK of all places. People who comment on here make it seem that since Floyd wasn’t clean and had a criminal past that it was no big deal that Chauvin suffocated him to death. All I’ve been saying is that whether it’s a convict like George Floyd or a straight arrow like Botham Jean, no human being deserves to be suffocated to death like that, especially by someone whose job was to “serve and protect” and who should have known better. Keep in mind also that Chauvin and Tao had numerous blemishes on their service record and should not have been permitted to remain on the force In the first place.

I see a lot of complainers in the comment section. Be glad he wasn’t like many cops who didn’t get any time in prison. Being registered as a predatory offender, never getting a job when he gets out or being allowed to have any weapons and on top of that 22 1/2 years in prison is more than plenty of punishment. Yes George is dead but, his killer ruined his entire life and didn’t catch a break.

We need to analyze this critically and understand that former officer Chauvin came in to work on May 25, 2020, a day that we was not during his regular rotating schedule. It was his day off. The real lesson we ought to take away from this case... Be mindful of all decisions, for they impact more people than just yourself, and possibly most importantly, DON'T COME IN ON YOUR ONLY DAY OFF.
