I don't understand something. Derek Chauvin's mother seems completely unfazed by the fact that her son just killed someone who was pleading for his life. She even said he was her favourite son. I know for a fact that if I went and did what Derek Chauvin did, my parents would not hesitate for 2 seconds to disown me regardless of what penalty the court gives me. Is she a white supremacist as well who believed that George Floyd's death was good riddance?! This is just shocking

I noticed that they omitted numerous complaints filed against him, for abusing his authority, but they made sure to highlight all of the bad things George Floyd did, we all know that when a police officer does something it gets covered up so that only good shows. It saddens me as I read some of these comments, this happens to us everyday, where police officers get off for killing many of us who are just living our everyday lives Yes he had failings and he was no saint, but he was a human being. Do any of you ever think that out of all those who police have murdered and got away with it, who hadn’t done the things that George Floyd had done, his particular murder started a world outrage. dig a little deeper, before you make these insensitive statements, I shutter to think that humans beings making these comments have no comprehension of the fact that his death was just the cup being so full of the atrocities that been committed that it finally spilled out and the whole world got a chance to see it.

Again, I restate, this man was no saint, it’s about humanity. Does that give Derek Chauvin the right to kneel on his neck, until he had no more life in his body as he begged for his life. They were negligent. His death was a catalyst to the world seeing what we as a black race suffer at the hands of those who swore to protect us. Again, this was the cup overflowing and spewing out the atrocities committed against us on a daily basis. With all that in his system as you stated, no one truly knows. His knee was a nail in Mr. Floyd’s coffin. How many lost souls we encounter everyday that struggle with some type of addiction one way or the other does that mean we should just take them out because they don’t matter?
@blkstang463 жыл бұрын
@ryan miller I appreciate your reply, if that was your friend or your family member and they did the exact same thing that George Floyd would you honestly consider that doing the world a favor? He wasn’t resisting, he was already handcuffed, face down, an officer kneeing his neck and other officers restraining him, pleading for his life, while others pleaded also. This most definitely wasn’t a favor to the world this was cruelty in its rawest form.

I don’t think any drug or bad actions by Mr. Floyd should be used as a reason to diminish Chauvin’s actions. It was obvious Chauvin’s ego was in control judging by his smile and inability to hear the well-behaved onlookers try to get him to pay attention to Mr Floyd’s quieter and quieter voice saying, “I can’t breathe.” Mr Floyd was not fighting. Not in the least. If he had been previously it had stopped and was no longer a threat. He was subdued. Once that point had been reached Chauvin’s actions became homicide. It bothered me (and still bothers me to this day..) how people have "justified" this officer's killing of a man who was already handcuffed and should have been placed in the Police Car instantly after the hamdcuffs were secured in place. People justified Floyd's murder by using his past life of drugs and criminal record... it's quite sad we live in a society where people see drug use and distribution as the ULTIMATE crime and deserves execution... Sex trafficking especially of children and rape and abuse seems to top so many crimes in mind but in this society we have people who see drug use as just the worst of all crimes to the extent where they take execution-like actions towards these individuals.... it's sickening when you really think about it.. because there's just so many more serious crimes happening across the world yet people are driven to anger and hostility over drug crimes.. really doesnt make any rational sense. 😒

I have some sympathy for Chauvin's mother but...she must not have seen the video of her son with his knee pressed upon the neck of GF and the cries coming from GF, " I CAN'T BREATHE, I CAN'T BREATH", yes she can still see her son and speak with him but...no matter what, the family and friends of GF will never see him again, never speak to him again. His daughter will never see her dad again, he'll not enjoy father daughter dances, her sweet sixteen birthday, teaching her to drive, graduations , prom, her wedding, her children, his grandchildren. This was not the first time that Derek Chauvin choked someone out, even to unconciousness, he did it to a teenager and I'm sure that if you research him you'll find other incidents. He committed an egregious act of murder that was seen around the world 🌎 and imo the appropriate sentence would have been life without the possibility of parole. No matter the criminal history of GF, no one gave him the right to be judge, jury and executioner.

He no doubt will have A LOT of enemies. Love and powerful healing from the millions who stand behind George, his family and everyone who cared about him. I never want to see that video again...the pure robotic actions, void of feelings from that person in charge with his knee on that mans' neck. I'm glad he's going away for 22 years.
