I was 14 years old when South of Heaven came out. I got that tape and took it to my room to listen to for the first time. We’d just moved into a new house, parts of it were still under construction, and there were all sorts of problems with the electricity. I plugged in my stereo, pressed play, and there was a spark and a pop, and I jumped out of my skin. I thought, “What did Slayer just do to my room?!?!” After finding an outlet that worked, I listened to it over and over and became obsessed. I wanted to get all their older music and begged my parents for Reign in Blood for my 15th birthday. My folks - God bless ‘em - did just that despite that album cover and all those song names. Still a huge fan.

Out of all of those reactors, I love Aileen the most. Because she truly loves metal. So many reactors don't even like metal, but they don't want to disappoint their viewers which may cause them to get un-subs, so they pretend to enjoy it and nod along... That's why I pretty much stopped watching like 90% of reactor videos. Lost in Vegas is also good, because they are 100% honest and tell you when they don't like a song and the viewers appreciate that, which is why they have more subscriptions. You usually can tell the fakers though, which again is probably 90% of them... I imagine with lots of those reactors as soon as the video stopped said, Man, that was worst garbage I ever heard! , but for some reason the viewers are naive enough to believe they actually like it just because they say they do.... lol.
