Thanks Derek! I found this video because it was shared by Ballylongford Snaps. On my father's side my grandfather was raised in Listowel, my great grandparents raised their family there, and my g-g grandparents lived in Ballylongford! I'm still researching. My mother's family is largely from Kerry too. My wife and I made our first visit in April from the U.S.. Can't wait to get back!!!

I ended up staying in listowel instead of ballybunion too on a recent bike packing trip! It's a lovely spot, I'd recommend the free tour of the castle if you have the time :)

Hi Derek , if your going to ballybunion direction , a place called ballyduff has a lovely round tower and graveyard beside it very interesting you’ll see it as you leave ballyduff heading to ballyhiegue a great place lovely beach great camping places too
