Love your approach, DikkeHamster. In case anyone wants to take this even a step further with a threaded lid, you might want to check out this video (NOT MINE!) kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2fSf52MbsZlgbc - I followed it for a real world 3Dprint a while ago and thought this might be a good addition for you all. Both printed or rendered... Printed - by the way - works like a charm. And as a bonus he shows a real interesting grip-texture as well, and a technique how to do it. Just bare with the automated voice if you can. That is distracting. At least to me it was.

For other complete beginners: He doesn't call it out, but at 12:15, remember to press F to put a Face for inside the bottle, otherwise you will have issues with creating the bevel (ctrl+b) inside when you get to the 12:50 part.... This happened to me and i had no clue why I couldn't add a bevel, but it was just a simple error on my part for not putting a face.

@@senatrius7796 absolutely. Having a better understanding of these fields would definitely help in creating more realistic, effective imagery.

@@senatrius7796 You could simply search for high quality product photography references and analyse professional product shots to adapt them in 3D. That's what most 3D artists are doing. @nanaosaki89443 жыл бұрын
@@DerekElliott how did you combine the textures like that ? i love the video by the way , it was incredible !
@denieltonn2 жыл бұрын
27:54 tip: search for "magic texture" or "noise texture" (or both together in the same materials, also works) it can give you a better texture for the material inside the recipient take a colorramp at the texture to have two colors in the texture and mix it with a dark smooth pink and a light smooth pink to get better results, keep the IOR glass at 1.450 to get more realism and change de emission of the cream to 0.1 to see the color through the glass 33:03 for this material you can create a noise texture and scale the effect to 50.00 to have a texture similar to a slightly stiff rubber 34:02 you can click in one face and then click in another face holding ctrl to select faces in the way 58:40 there is no need to use that amount of lighting, you will only destroy the realism of your render also, if you want more realism in your render you MUST use denoising and ambient occlusion to give the feeling that things are touching the ground, accompanied by a sense of depth and good definition of shadows, configure the parameters in your Compositing tab in Blender In general, it was a very great tutorial except for the lights and the leak of image reference in the description
