Jesus came to clarify and magnify the law. In Matthew 19, only one reason is given for divorce .... it was cheating in the Jewish betrothal period before marriage. Like Mary and Joseph when he almost put her away before they got together.

This man of God is like a spiritual teacher I never had...he appears to be kind, genuine, and humble. These qualities are from God, else he would be promoting himself. I’ve been a born-again believer for quite a while and NEVER received such clear teaching apart from direct revelation from Holy Spirit. The Bible says to study to show yourself approved of God...I would say Derek Prince has done just that...praise the Lord and ah-men (Amen).

There is an answer to lawlessness being bred into children ...Mothers stay at home and teach your children the foundations of love honesty respect and discipline etc ,instead of trying to do two jobs badly. Women put too many high expectations on themselves to be superwomen doing the job of 3 people ie: parent, career woman and homemaker !! It’s too stressful ,and kids are being torn apart !!

God said I had to study and get a good part time job. Dad takes care of the kids too now. He raises em very well. Dads have to disciplin their sons, says the Bible. How can they do that when they're always gone, working? Then mom has to be the bossy one. I think this is better.

J K in the 1897 book Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion two of the key precepts included the break up of the families and becoming the authority to children through a public education system. Derek Prince was an excellent teacher but Luke 8 17 ... all things will be revealed did not start to happen until after his call. It is not dead beat dad.. The two income family under financial distress, with their children being indoctrinated into curriculum that now supports gender confusion, did not happen by accident. I recommend you watch the video Media and Generations by Dayz of Noah.

Apartheid was oppression. It's called oppression and it brings with it to start, financial impacts on people and families. It further causes father's to work away from their families. It is not the children but the system which is wrecking havoc on families. We are currently seeing retribution for apartheid in S.A. THE Lord is coming, it is going to be wonderful. Then we can go home. Keep praying for families to stay together and keep praying for children's parents to come together. Keep praying for children as they are "taken" from their families due to external factors like wicked mother in laws sowing Jezebel Spirits into their offspring. All we have is prayer and faith, with God eveything is possible.

This also describes New England in the U.S. , especially in Maine and MOST especially in Lewiston and Auburn, Maine. The culture has been so embedded with a serious lack of accountability for so long where parents don't correct their children when they are disrespectful and rude, and are not made to do or eat ANYTHING they don't like that they grow up to be rude, inconsiderate and selfish adults. I have learned that this has gone on for many generations here so when you say anything to them about it they are very casual about those whole thing and none of it really phases them as wrong. Even in the churches it is like this. The children even display a strong spirit of rebelliousness from infanthood like I have never seen in my life until I moved up here many years ago. As toddlers they wrestle you when you want to spank them on their behinds for being extremely naughty and wrestle you over it and wrestle you when you have to hold them in place on your lap because they refuse to sit still for a time out and it lasts for 45 minutes EVERY SINGLE TIME! There is something deeply wrong with this area!

The parents that failed to train their children!!! Tell me, please! How can it be expected for a parent to train their children when the endevor lands them in jail and/or prison??? Disiplining a child, these days, is rewarded with a Criminal Citation alledging Child Abuse. Before a parent can accomplish the responsibility of raising their children to be "good citizens," they must either change the Statutes or circumvent them!
@smarlisg6 жыл бұрын
Corporal punishment (thank you for correction) is not the only way to discipline children. It may have been allowed and seen as necessary in the past just as slavery and child labour bur we've moved on. So disciplinary methods also move forward.
@michaele.odonnell98146 жыл бұрын
Certainly, you meant corporal punishment! Capitol Punishment is the Death Penalty which is, exactly, where an undisciplined child may end-up at. I never found it necessary to discipline my daughter physically; but it's not a daughter that the Proverbs 23:13 & 14 "Do not withhold correction from a child, for if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell." was talking about. Sorry Derek but, as politically correct as your stance may be it won't save a boy from Sheol! If your going to declare your teachings to be rightly dividing the word of God- in the Bible, don't modify it for any reason!!!... smarlisg, I'm correct, he's wrong and, Proverbs 23: 13 & 14 are the verses from the Bible that proves it.
@smarlisg6 жыл бұрын
Michael E. O'Donnell Yes I did mean Corporal I apologise. On the idea of not modifying the scriptures how about women being learners at home and slaves being subject to their masters? I don't see what your objection is to this message. Is it because he blames parents? He blames lack of parenting rather than the methods of discipline used and here I must agree with him. The negative consequences of an unparented generation are quickly becoming epidemic in our society. You are however entitled to your opinion.
@michaele.odonnell98146 жыл бұрын
smarlisg I don't recall him discussing the topics of Slaves obeying Masters or woman learning at home. Nor did I elaborate on them. What I objected about was that Proverbs 23: 13 & 14, clearly, express not only the need of Corporal Punishment- on young boys- to accomplish the deliverance of their souls from The Second Death but, that you're to ignore your concerns that your complete unleashing of the beating could result in his death. This isn't, just, my opinion!!! As I've presented to you, it's Biblical! Upon the presentation of Proverbs 23: 13 & 14, how can that be refuted???...
@smarlisg6 жыл бұрын
Michael E. O'Donnell. I added the topics of women and slaves in opposition to your premise that the scripture be presented unaltered...Unless of course you meant only on this occasion? Prince does not in this segment (nor in any of his teachings that I've heard) advocate anywhere for NOT disciplining children. In fact he tended to be quite 'old school' about the rod and its place in discipline. So I believe his teaching to be aligned with your position. I on the other hand object to the rod as a disciplinary tool as it is now illegal (as is slavery - also acceptable in the bible). I advocate other 'rods' to chastise disobedience and folly in children which are legal and fall under the category 'discipline' and just as effective. We live in changing times and though the ethic is constant, the method changes. We may have to agree to disagree I fear but I respect your position and engagement.

Start from the beginning is your soul saved? Are you born again and in the right church. (Ie Bible preaching church with a male pastor call by God, not a woman pastor.) Not being filled with the Holy Spirit is peoples first problem. The problem with many believers is that they don't get up early and pray and read there bible before they start their day. You will not be able to have success over life's struggles unless you do this. Jesus had to do it and so do you and I. In other words you can't be a good christian or even a good person without a strong devotional life. Look at Christians, church going people who have little self control you can be sure they spend no time with God. Church on Sundays is a must but its not enough. When all this is in place, then make your best effort to mend the relationship/apologize to your parents. Next your siblings then your spouse. In the book of revelation Jesus is telling the church to repent, repent, repent and so it is with just about all of us.

as parents , we have failed miserably ,, thinking that we are living in freedom ,, but at who's expense , so much adultery , as if it's ok ,,, no one stops to think how deep the knife went into children's hearts ,,, who cares anyway ,, right ,, then we wonder why God's laws are so important ,, for good reason ,,, the law of ' though shall not commit adultery' ,,, why would God care about giving us that commandments ,,, too much lust ,, and hearts of ice ,,,too much pain and sorrows ,, who cares ,,, we are all hurting ,, and we don't know how to fix the problems ,,, and fashions and immoralities just keeps getting into us , dragging us down ,,, why are we so blind ,

Jesus said to Watch over the fatherless and widows. Now there are too many unruly fatherless and widows. They cannot be tamed. This is the separation of sheep's and goats. Praise God for it and know it is for our good and will work to get true repentance from the true children who loves God. In the end we shall know the truth. That end is coming soon. So give God glory for the destruction to come. It comes for EVIL

Yes, I say this respectfully, but it could be played a little softer or have softer music. it is also a rock kind of sounding music which we need to be cautious about as Christians, which most churches used to preach against and don't anymore.

Funny how it is the wife who bears the burden of divorce and has to remain single? Are we under law or under grace? Because, if I follow this reaching I must divorce my loving, kind and generous husband and return to a narcissist now living with his third wife! How is that the right thing to do????
