I own a landscape maintenance company and I want to make my open trailer more enclosed. Eventually a removable roof to use as a clean up trailer in Fall. Want to get this welder for that task. Thanks for the review video.

Thanks for the review. It’s almost impossible to find unbiased information on forums. Most of the time when you ask about budget welders the opinions generally come from professional welders that tend to think that you can only weld with $1,000+ dollar machines. Its all about managing your expectations and being realist with what you will be asking the machine to do.

The thing will melt metal together with a strong bond. I’m not in business. It does that perfectly well with anything under 1/8, and with certain methods, you can go bigger too by running multiple passes. So ya, it’s a perfectly capable machine. Many people in professional trade industries just love to be an elitest about their trade and try to convince DIYers that they cannot in any way mimic what the pro is doing and part of that is pretending like the only tool for the job is completely unobtainable for the common man. I think they think they are protecting their trade.

@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects you just have to do your research on fillmetals on what you can weld all about how you cut the the metals and weld get a 10 gauge wire set the amps on the machine. and speed I change the regulate out to set the flow rate on my own regulator the mig gun is nice machine is nice. Flux is a very hot burning meta.

I want to just do some autobody welds make patch panels, the price for this seems nice. The 140 type name brand stuff is almost twice the price. I just don't know if I would need all that, if I'm mainly going to be using low settings.
@bayoutrapper5 ай бұрын
Trust me, the Lincoln name brand makes a difference. Some say it doesn't but, I've used both and the Lincoln brand is made to a higher Standard. Their butt (name), is on the line with it. God bless y'all.

It’s good. I’ve only tried laying some beads down with fluxcore and it doesn’t look good. That’s to be expected because I have never welded. No fault to the machine.

Not bad but, for about $20.00 more you can get the Forney Easy Weld 140 MP that does the same but also runs a 10 pound spool and does stick welding. Also more amperage

If you haven't found the answer yet, the WELD-PAK 120 is only a flux core welder. It does not have the gas line hookups for MiG.
