What a coincidence! I'm in Tulsa visiting my mom and they have a Capriotti's. Every time I'm here I get the Hot Bobbie. It really is good, tastes like Thanksgiving night when you raid the fridge for leftovers. Get a cup of their tomato bisque soup too. Long time no see, glad to see you're still doing your thing together.
@davidbrodsky39534 ай бұрын
WOW. You must be in California, the Capriotti’s in Scotsdale, one of three locations has prices comparable to Jersey Mikes. So come to Arizona, not just for Capriotti, but for fun eateries throughout the valley. I enjoy your videos.

Thought Jersey Mike’s was pretty expensive at $15 for a big old sub but I think Jersey Mike’s looks better than those subs. You should do a review on Jersey Mike’s. We love watching you whether you’re cooking in your crockpot or Insta pot or playing the slots in Las Vegas whatever you’re doing we watch you. ❤

The subs all looked delicious and well made. A lot of quality there. 😊 Jersey Mike's out here in NOLA where I live has The Original Italian giant sub that is 14 inches and sells for 17.65. It has Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni along with all the accompaniments that were all on your Italian. All the meats are fresh sliced while you wait. It's a good one but probably not as good as Capriotti's. Don't know if you have one out there. Thanks for another wonderful and entertaining review. 👍👍😍😍

Where I live, Florida, Jersey Mikes is 16.95. What is often considered the best sub in America, White House Subs in AC the large Italian is $20, the last time I had a sub from there about 8 years ago the Special was $20, I think it’s $22 now and about the same size as Capriotti, which I have never been to but would definitely try.

I can't believe you did this video. I just went to Capriotti's for the first time ever today! I knew they were expensive, but I figured I would give them a try. I got the Italian, yes, the Italian. The medium. I shared it with my husband, but only because he saw me otherwise wise I wouldn't have. It was good. Good quality ingredients. 👌 I only tried it because the small family owned Italian sandwich shop I love closes early. Would I return? I might.

You mentioned the prices, but if you go to Jersey Mikes and get a giant #6 roast beef it will be $19.99 for a 12”. Also, try Five Guys and see what you pay for a double cheeseburger and large fry. It cost $20.02 last time I went and didn’t get a drink! You get a couple of meals out of an 18” sub versus one meal for $20 at Five Guys! Not saying $30 isn’t high for a sandwich, but still a better deal than Jersey Mikes and Five Guys!

That pricing is fine for a nice meal. Not so much if you are just eating lunch, but with all the buffets and high prices places, you have enough there for two meals each (or more) for the price of one of you to eat at some of the other places. Oh, and I REALLY want that Thanksgiving sandwich. Reminds me of Ross' sandwich (the moist maker) from Friends

Prices are absurd. I prefer buying all the ingredients and building my own; especially the Italian sub. Capriotti's signature Wagyu beef sandwich seems to have a pricing effect on other sandwiches. I would expect to spend some money on the Wagyu, but NOT on an Italian sub, and certainly not $25.

Capriotti's started in Wilmington De. About 20 mins south of Philly. My cousins were the original workers there. On our way to lunch we passed a Capriotti's (didn't eat there). Never been there but thanks for the heads up/review. The sandwiches look good but they are pricey. At $88 they will feed about 6 people. Avg just under $15 per person but that is still alot for a sandwich. Of course, I'm still going to try it.😅
@danielnelson83044 ай бұрын
Crazy prices for sandwiches. The sodium and artery-clogging deliciousness cannot be denied though. Tony Soprano would be proud.
@davidoldham19464 ай бұрын
You can do better than Capriotti's for ANY steak sandwich. Their quality has plummeted, the customer service has become crap and their prices have risen way faster than inflation. That large sub used to be 20 inches. Used to go there every week for years but no longer. The last time I had a Bobbie it was fetid. Do not get their way way overpriced soups. I would say their turkey sub is their signature one. I used to switch between that and the Italian. I also liked their tuna sub.
