@Dehnia312 жыл бұрын
Ok so this is what I was trying figure out since w newer technology out I was curious since I’m gonna attempt to do it. So that I’m clear, you tapped into + & - on one speaker and then created a loop where u shared the connection from that + in the other speaker and - in the other. So that’s let’s say the left speaker and you shared that connection for the right speaker? Correct? Now for the power and ground you just shared it with the amp? Like you connected the LOC power wire w the amp power wire and you nailed the ground into the same ground tap as the amp? If Im understanding you correctly I’m gonna do the same exact thing including drilling a hole in the firewall.
@DerickWiley2 жыл бұрын
Yes sir that’s correct. When I did my challenger I the left negative and the right positive and it still powered up so you may try that without doing the loop

@stevenredd382 жыл бұрын
So where are you getting the power from to the LC 2i
@larrygarner25992 жыл бұрын
You turn the key on the ignition which turns on the head unit which sends the power through the door speakers to the lci2 is basically an easy way to explain it so the door speaker works as a remote wire because the lci2 has a switch on it to work that way

how did you mount that amp to that wall?..is it strong enough to hold that amp?
@stevenbrace85793 жыл бұрын
I’m sure you already resolved this issue yourself if you replicated this project. But for people doing research and having this same question. I just completed this project myself. I mounted the amp and lc2i in the same location. In order to fill the area behind the carpeting I layered two strips of 3/4” plywood in between two 18x16” sheets of the plywood to get the correct thickness. I glued the initial sheet to the Metal rear “wall” of the truck with all purpose gorilla glue. The glue seems to be holding very strong. And I ran some of the wires through the middle of the two sheets as I used the strips in between that gave me a large channel in witch to run wires. I believe I cut the sheets of plywood to 18”x 16”. Hopefully that helps.
