Sorry about that! If you want to see an example, I show one at 1:34. It's just a line that cuts through the graph at at least one point.

Can't tell you how much your tutoring has helped me. Just last night in about 4 hours I moved on pretty deeply into Calc 2 and finally understood things in a brand new way. The most helpful thing about your style of instruction is to repeat again and again the basics, even in the tougher lessons. I'm subscribed and in the next few weeks will plow through all of your videos from the beginning. All I can say now is THANK YOU! :)

So I decided to use her website. I wish I would’ve found it earlier. In her website she has more examples. If I would’ve used her videos I would’ve understood everything so much faster, instead of struggling nonstop. It’s like having your own personal tutor because she explain everything so clearly and if you don’t understand something she’ll respond rather quickly. Her website is a 5/5.

I am incredibly impressed. I have 3 engineering degrees with a strong background in mathematics. In math I just did the "monkey see, Monkey do" approach. I am in an optimizations course now and I was looking for a definition to a particular math vocab and came across your videos. I am highly impressed, you just cleared up a few years of questions about Calculus. So for what it's worth, you were phenomenal. I hope you are becoming a professor.

Ok, so following this, near the end. I wa able to get the solution to my first HW problem for section 2.1 derivatives and the tangent line problem. The confusing part is the book uses 'c' and delta 'x'. This video uses 'x' and 'h' and I know they're just variables but I cannot wrap my head around and get straight, what the variables are referring to. f(x), f(c), delta 'x', points P and Q, etc etc etc. Discouraging.....though I am sure in time, this will all be obvious and simple to me. I hope. f(t) = 3t - x^2; find mtan @ (0,0)

Here's a real world problem that I'm trying to use to help me learn calculus, please help: I'm a driver for a popular food delivery service. I have a goal to keep my approval rating above 95%. I've just gotten started and so after only a couple of bad reviews my rating is now 94% I've had 33 total ratings, 31 of which are positive. this gives me a rating of 93.9 which is being rounded up to 94 Assuming standard rounding (below .5 rounded down, .5 or above rounded up) and assuming I don't get anymore negative ratings, how many more positive ratings do I need before I have 95%? EDIT: added an assumption

Excellent explaination I have a question what does rate of change of a function at a point mean ?
@kristakingmath9 жыл бұрын
+sachi codo It's the slope of the function at that point. So, you know how the slope of a line is the same everywhere? Well, for functions that aren't lines, but instead have irregular curves, if you want to find the slope of it somewhere, like it's nice to know the slope of a line, then you can find the rate of change at that particular point.

I am confused. If a function is differentiable then the function must be continuous on the domain of the function. Then why is the f(x) = (x^2 - 4) / (x + 2) differentiable when x cannot equal -2, which means there is a hole in the graph at -2 making it non-continuous.

Your teachings must right for the development of calculus 1 or 2. But this cannot applied to 3 D conformation functions on computers for the 3d confirmation is a volume within a volume and your planar mathematics works only in R, R" assembly. And for 3D confirmation of schematics definitely everything would be in a let say Euler mathematics. And your teachings is limited and does applied to others specific global functions. Krista. And by playing in 2 D dynamics in certains specifics researchs, the finals solutions can only be underrated. You are a very good teacher and I even forgot how to do these things in hi school. Still everybody cannot smart everywhere.
