I have always been fascinated how hair can weave its way into things. I restarted noticing that it did this when my family adopted a long haired dog and his hair was woven into like literally everything.

One time I found one of my head hairs “growing” from my eyebrow. At the time I didn’t know they could do that and I thought I just had an extremely long eyebrow hair 😅

That wasn’t a hair splinter. You could tell by the way the skin puckered when they pulled it out that it was an ingrown hair.

Same with my sister and mom. Hair is everywhere. Never wear socks around the salon was always a rule cause getting them out of feet hurts worse.

@kenzies5899 really? I would of thought wearing the socks would prevent hair splinters happening and then just toss out the pair more than just bare foot
@kenzi5559
@kenzi5559 6 ай бұрын
@electraperrin9718 Well you're right, if you go barefoot they might stick easier but you can usually wipe those off. The hair with socks, though, you can't wipe off as easy and it starts to hurt when the hair's sneak to the inside of your sock and basically stab your foot until it falls out or gets all the way in there. Basically just wear shoes. I just meant barefoot or socks probably wouldn't be best. I think I said socks because you'd probably be more likely to wear socks and not go barefoot when walking around a public place. (Unless you are getting a pedicure or you don't own shoes, anything like that.)

I used to get them all the time when I regularly used an epilator on my legs. Loads of ingrown hairs and those hair splinters as you call them. Had to stop using an epilator as it didn’t matter how much I exfoliated or moisturised, I’d get lots and lots of both.

That's not a hair splinter. You get one when you cut hair and a small piece gets into your skin. It hurts

I get these because of my Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. My skin is too soft and gummy to let the hair grow thru the layers.

I found, if you pull the hair so that just the root is left in, leave the skin to heal, then remove the hair it doesn't keep doing the same thing.

@@bellasandra8042 I would have to cut the skin to get at the hair. I have so many that I just leave them. I could get an infection from breaking the skin in so many places. But thanks!

Seen a lot of videos of people pulling out nose hairs, was told not to do this by my hairdresser instructor. Was taught that from that bridge of your nose to the corner of your mouth is called the “triangle of death”. If you get an infection from pulling hairs or popping pimples it can cause so many bad things like brain abscess/infection, damage to the nerves/face paralysis or even death. Every time I see a video of someone barbershop doing this I want to scream at them to stop, what your thoughts is this true or does it rarely happen?😂
