This is so helpful. As a chef, i have had a terrible habit of just ignoring minor burns, and my hands and arms are *covered* in scars. Now that I am in my 40’s, I regret not taking the time to actually care for my many first and second degree burns. To be fair, there are pressures in the industry to never stop working unless you literally like… lose a finger, so there’s that.

I get minor burns fairly often taking items out of my oven, even though I wear oven gloves. Aloe Vera gel helps alot to relieve pain and prevent or reduce blistering.

My husband is a chef, 44 years old - has been working since he was 16. I know exactly what you are talking about. He has soo many burns and scars. And he just continues work ignoring everything besides incoming orders. I often scold him because of this when he comes home with another injury.

I remember I got burnt from waxing, as I use retinol and didn’t know you shouldn’t wax. It was agony, thankfully minor and superficial so the burn disappeared without scarring after a week, I was just caking vaseline on it and avoiding hot water.

Literally applying _Blastoestimulina_ NOW 😅 (pharmacy cream ad hoc with centella asiatica). I had my treti already on and did a 10 mins peel with The Ordinary AHA-BHA "Countess Bathory" blood serum on my hands.✨ Nothing wrong till here. Except that I forgot that I had the bathory and touched my cheek-jaw with 4 fingers because a hair got in the way. Since I was slugged with a thick layer of vaseline, I didn' t feel anything so, during 12 hours, treti + bathory 🔥🤦🏻♀️. It took me a full day to figure out wth it was. Looked exactly like an spider bite. As an ex severe acne sufferer, I' m a mastah treating scars😅 but I learned it the hard way: The bathory peeling must be done with plastic gloves and Swan Lake crossed arms😌. Thanks for this video, much needed! 🧛🏻♀️🖤

off topic, but would you ever consider making a travel sized or lip balm sized version of the prequel skin utility ointment? i love the ointment for anywhere and everywhere on my body. i’m a few months shy of 28 with dry, sensitive skin, eczema, psoriasis, and psoriatic arthritis. i’ve been going to the deem since i was a toddler and have tried so many prescription and otc products. this is *the* ointment for everything and everyone. i’m so in love with the formula. 🖤🖤 that said, i especially love the feel, benefit, and look on my lips!! however, i’d love to have a smaller tube to have in my purse. when i travel i would take the full size but maybe other people prefer smaller packaging and this could be a two-in-one option? i don’t always carry large bags and (this is a *me* issue) also feel a tad ridiculous pulling a full size ointment tube out of my already tightly packed crossbody. 😅
@Katepwe11 ай бұрын
Maybe just put some from the large tube into a small container.
@alienpotatosquid785011 ай бұрын
i could and i may but i prefer a tube vs a jar. i’ll look into small/travel containers but would still love a prequel lip balm sized balm. :)

I have had numerous burns from various sources such as welding and steam lines. All I would classify as minor. What I have found works very well is to (immediately/as soon as possible) hold the burned area against a large piece of cool/room temperature metal such as a sledge hammer, anvil, large piece of pipe, bench vise, copper cold water line (better with cold water running through it). As you hold the burned area to the cooler object you will feel the pain leaving. After the pain has stopped you can stop the process. If the pain comes back instantly redo, and the length of time will improve between redos. After a few times the pain should subside. I have had repeat burns on my wrists but have no obvious scars and seldom dealt with a blister. I never used ointments or bandages for most of them. The key is the speed in which you get the burned area to the cooler object. Walk On ! ☺♥†♪♫ 1-4-25

Honestly i had 1st burn from hot water in my hand. What i did, first i tried to cool it down with cold water then i applied aleo vera natural gel i have it in my garden and i used vitamin E cream with aleo vera then covered it with plastic wrap.. Afterwards i took panadol then i tried ice ontop didnt leave it for long ofc.. The burn was unpleasant.. Then i used sudocrem with Uriage cica and sometimes vitamin E cream.. I tried with whatever i have.. Still hurt though just had it yesterday but it is much better only when i accidentally touch it.. I could feel it hurt.. Swollen ofc.. A bit red.. But nothing serious thankfully..

You have some nerve taking my photo from a medical professional website and using it for your video thumbnail. Imagine my surprise searching for something related and I come across my picture on your video. Please take this down and use generic photos to advertise your channel, not individual’s uploaded pictures seeking medical advice for their conditions. I will never make that mistake again. The doctors that did respond, provided helpful advice at the time (you weren’t one of them, have NO clue who you are)! Despicable!
