You don’t need to be numbed up to remove callouses/corns. They’re hard dead skin. You can’t feel it. When you walk on them the pressure causes you to feel the hard centre and pain. But removing them with a scalpel like this, no. Being injected in this area would cause more pain and do very little anyway because the skin is dead.
@Baditow6 ай бұрын
this would definitely hurt, and it'd hurt even more if you dared try to walk after this

@@Baditow if the skin that is being scraped off is already dead skin that has gone hard you just wouldn’t feel it. I’d had small calluses on my skin before and managed to remove them with a foot file type thing. That didn’t need numbing. It’s the same thing. Hes not cutting into live flesh. He’s not breaking the skin that has nerves in it. He’s not damaging the skin that has nerves in it. Clauses don’t have nerves in them. It’s impossible. It would feel strange to walk without feeling like you have a small rock in your foot but having the dead dry skin removed wouldn’t cause pain when walking either.
@Baditow5 ай бұрын
@@FlissFloss2906 no duh the callous itself doesn't have nerves but its a layer that protects your skin. if you remove the callous the skin underneath becomes a sore.
@FlissFloss29065 ай бұрын
@@Baditow I’m sorry but that’s not how it works. A callus doesn’t protect the skin. This is a myth. If a callus is left the good skin underneath can break down. So leaving a callus and not removing can create a sore. Not removing it. A sore is only present if the callus of left too long. When removing a callus they don’t touch any live skin so it doesn’t need to be numbed. And even if there is an open sore it still doesn’t get numbed. Go check out DC Foot Doctor and Toe Bro and Dr Nail Nipper. The only time they numb the toe is when they remove a nail. The DC Foot Doctor I think actually explains what happens if you leave them. And if you watch and listen to the longer videos you hear him explain what happens. Removing a callus doesn’t cause a sore at all. The only time you see a sore when a callus is removed is when the skin has broken down because the callus has caused it. It’s not caused by removing the callus itself.

I’m a podiatrist. It doesn’t need to be numbed. I have never needed anaesthetic for a corn in 20 years, especially for a relatively small/simple one like this. A corn on the sole of the foot forms as a response to pressure. That’s a number 15 scalpel blade. Not a razor blade. You call it a wart at the end. Everything else was correct tho 🤦🏻♂️

Creators make small mistakes intentionally because it baits people into replying with a comment to correct them. The more comments, the more engagement the Algorithm detects, so it suggests the video to more people. It's like those mobile game adds where the person playing it is clearly blind, drunk, and two years old. It's to frustrate you into showing you know better.

I've had plenty of corns removed from my feet/toes. They are painful themselves, but the removal is not - certainly not painful enough to need local anaesthetic. I get my podiatrist to do it, they use a scalpel & because it's all dead skin, there's no need for the numbing. The only reason for anaesthetic is if they make a mistake and cut too deep.

Callouses are a flat, broad thickening of the skin. Corns are unique because the thickening of the skin forms a very localized ball and it protrudes up into the skin. It's like having a pebble in your shoe 24/7, except you can't shake it out and it's actually part of your body inside your skin. :( Exact etiology is unknown but most generally believe that corns are caused by trauma which drives skin cells deeper than normal and they survive the injury, going on to grow the trapped ball of skin deep inside the layers of skin. People may step on a nail or glass and form a corn in that spot. To permanently treat it, the corn needs to be surgically cut out as if it was a tumor.

I have these all over my palms. How do I get rid of it completely? It grows back after I dig into it but most times it basically just leaves a hole.

Simply use a corn plaster it will automatically remove with the roots

I had them and believe me it irritates alot. I had to bare with it for 3 or some months and was applying a lotion. Also with nail cutter trying to remove them by myself but the pain always force me to stop. But in the end they just git vanished by themselves.

It’s funny because I love those hoof trimming videos and this is the humans version

There are these little corn cushions you can get that help get rid of them too. You end up scraping it out yourself, but by that point, when it's ready, it doesn't really hurt. I had Corns growing up, havent had them in a long time but as a 10-12 year old I was able to remove them myself using the patches.

Used to get this a lot due to wet shoes from rain etc. Salicylic acid and and then warm water soaking with a box cutter to trim the affected skin.

I have one on the bottom of my foot. They’re painful because since they’re on the bottom of her foot, they grow into your foot because you’re standing on it so it’s not gonna be able to grow outward. I use a razor blade and I cut mine out about once a month. they just keep coming back and they are hardharder than your fingernails

Got one of these when I used to push carts, ended up having to remove it myself with a similar method- doing it without a numbing agent is pretty painful, would not recommend

I waited for one of mine to fully grow, plant wart, after this, i torn it apart from the center, piece by piece with a small steel plyier, It rips off like orange pieces, leaving a deep hole, not a single drop of blood
