The beginning of a man who would help move millions of people. Good to meet you friend, good to see you, and will see you again.

Randomly put this on & it’s 7 years exactly since it was recorded. You’ve come a long way Dermo! Fair play lad

Just imagine you're at your friends wedding and the best man gets up and says, "I have a song to sing"

Haight the Great - I’ve always dreamed of having the balls to perform a song such as this, or any of Dermot’s for that matter, at my own wedding day for my wife but two problems...i have a horrible voice and I’m a gigantic pussy.

@@m00rem0ney24 I hope you know that "horrible voices" can be improved. The self confidence... Well, that requires a lot of shadow work, and then meeting your true self, and realizing your worth. Apparently, your love already sees something in you worth saving❤️ Anyway, the voice can ALWAYS be improved, objectively. For most, neither task is easy, but both are worth it. The true self more so, but I wouldnt doubt if one led to the other. Reality is strange. Life is short. Go get it.

This was before he blew up. I feel like his new songs are less poetic more commercial but can’t blame him, right. Gotta secure the bag at the end of the day

Dermot KennedyFOR ISLAND FIRES AND FAMILY LYRICS[Intro] How it must feel to be a bird Roam lonely over sea air How it must feel to be a bird London, Paris under me I'll wait on my own here [Refrain] I couldn't tell you enough that I'm sorry And no, you couldn't tell me enough that you loved me She's bringing the moon and the stars to me Damn permanent reverie [Verse 1] And even though this life, this love is brief I've got some people who carry me Wasn't it love as soon as we knew each other properly? Living 'bout half right, until a certain person got to me Nothing is secret, everything's sacred, How it ought to be Under the moonlight on a clear night, on rooftops is where I want to be [Verse 2] Sometimes I'm like a child, It's something I can't release Dreams of her coming home, sweet home I'm telling you home's so sweet Said you reminded me of the summer times, I still mean that In a full room I'm the only one she's smiling at. Wouldn't you let me know if you were thinking less of me? That's what she asked me what was promised what we both agreed Truthfully if you ever go, you'll drop me straight to Hell's 7th circle And I was talking with you earlier We were open and vulnerable, it was wonderful I, I used to dream that you would talk to me I used to dream that you would talk to me [Refrain] I couldn't tell you enough that I'm sorry And no, you couldn't tell me enough that you loved me She's bringing the moon and the stars to me Damn permanent reverie [Post-chorus] And even though this life, this love is brief I've got some people who carry me [Verse 3] Know that feeling when you think your heart is gonna come right out through your shirt? I get it a couple times a year but I've been getting it more often with her When I'm face to face with death I'll grab his throat And ask him, "how does it hurt?" In those golden moments growing old too quickly Was he thinking of her? [Refrain] She's bringing the moon and the stars to me Damn permanent reverie [Post-chors] And even though this life, this love is brief I've got some people who carry me

literally just the the 6th string for the first 2 chords then the 5th string on the last chord and for the high notes just keep your finger on second string, 3rd fret and for the bit he does sometimes it's a hammer on the second string for 0-3-0 then u play 0-2-0 on the third string
