I remember so many KC fans said they should've sent Gordon home there and all us Giants fans responded, "Pfft, you don't know Brandon Crawford's arm!".
@Feanor0263 жыл бұрын
Sometimes I wish Gordon tried home just to have an awesome WS game 7 ending play at homeplate with Crawford and Posey making the final out. But Panda catching the fly ball was still cool ^^

@@Feanor026 I know some KC fans from my previous job. They were saying for years that they shouldve sent Gordon home and I would always tell them Crawford wouldve gunned him down. They never would believe me and were set that KC couldve tied that game. OVer the years though, one of them actually came around and realized Crawford absolutely wouldve made that play. Love Crawford!

@@cheekypasta55 A college baseball team in Kansas City tried to replicate what would have happened if Gordon had tried to score. They made 6 attempts - the runner scored on the first one because of a wild throw. The other 5 attempts, the runner was out by a mile. So, a D-2 college shortstop got the guy out 5 times out of 6. I guess there's always a chance Crawford would have thrown it away, but it's got to be a 95%+ chance that he would have thrown Gordon out easily. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJu7qmilg66bp8k
@@camicawber Not to mention Posey is a gold glove caliber catcher so Crawford really has to throw it away, but he never does that because he's a gold glove shortstop.

Fun fact about BC: He still holds some quarterback records at his high school (Foothill in Pleasanton, Ca). He played baseball at UCLA, and he moves so well, he probably could have taken a few snaps in the third quarter, even in that program. He's one amazing dude.

I don't know how many teams do defensive team drills after spring training. But I know at least one coach that I saw doing it on the team's day off and that was Tony Larussa in 1989 with the Oakland A's. I had brought my son to the game the night before for bat day and they had run out. They told us to come to the ballpark the next day and I happened to have the day off. We were let into the ballpark and taken to an equipment room which had gotten some bats in because they had run out the night before. All we were walking there, I saw Tony larussa hitting fungo to players in the field and they were practicing lining up relays and cutoffs.

I saw the giants vs angels couple years ago live and he made a play that amazed me but nobody unless you were paying attention or at the game to witness it would have appreciated how great Brandon Crawford is at shortstop

Crawford had been doing this well before he entered the big leagues. He practiced tirelessly to become the player he is and continues to work on it. The day will come where he will be done at SS but not anytime soon.
