Derrick Disney is a surfer and surfboard shaper from San Diego, California. With a ride anything ethos and self shaping capabilities, Derrick is always showcasing the value of a diversified quiver.
From speedy carves to tube rides to lip hanging whips, Derrick puts the twinzer design through its paces. Originally refined by Wil Jobson, the twinzer concept is an adaptation of the twin fin, where a lead canard fin is placed forward of the main fin to direct water flow and create more efficiency. True Ames offers a wide variety of twinzer sets from board builders like Mandala Custom Shapes, Ryan Lovelace, and our own in-house designs.
