My ears rang and I had to listen to it again in disbelief. He confessed by using a 3rd person perspective when he said “Derrick Jaxn was involved with other women.” He didn’t even claim his own confession with “I was involved with other women.” He used his name like it’s a different identity and it was too hard for him to swallow the truth to his viewers. I think I know why Da'naia stayed with Derrick. Its definitely Da'naia's low self-esteem and low confidence. I can see the sadness right through her face and body posture. Da'naia made a point during her interview that she wasn't getting any men's attention like that due to insecurities of her appearance. Before anyone starts to say "she should've fixed her appearance then", its easier said than done especially when we know in this society which type of women get the most attention🤔🤔🤔. We have to call a spade a spade. Da'naia is beautiful but I have seen older pics in her moments when she didnt feel pretty. I think Da'naia does give off a "homely, plain Jane" vibe. And Da'naia knew this but she was feeling the brunt of her low self-esteem and didn’t try to jazz up her appearance. But what got her mesmerized about Derrick is when Derrick gave attention to her natural appearance and appreciated it without her using massive make up, weaves and fillers. She was all natural and he made her feel beautiful despite her insecurities. He also played all his cards right and won her over too by really courting her and wining and dining her. She truly felt like she was having her fairytale moment despite the infedility through their relationship that she accepted before and after they got married. She didnt want to lose that little love and affection that he gave even though he split it 100 different ways. And of course, Derrick was holding the provider role and supporting his family financially so all of that together are reasons to make her stay and not leave. I am definitely in her same lifeboat and just truly felt that her story really spoke to me. Derrick showed her love when she was the most vulnerable and unhealed. It was like a warm protective blanket wrapped around her. He played right into the perfect husband role by being the provider despite cheating. We cannot ignore the fact that she did stayed with him despite his infedilities no matter what. If Derrick never filed a divorce, she would've stayed with him regardless. I can bet my lifetime salary on that. I truly do feel sorry for her. He obviously didn't love her because he cheated on her left and right and filed for divorce. I guess God had to do that because she wasnt going to leave him. Something tells me if he returns, she will go back to him in a heartbeat. Having watched his videos on and off for years, the way he talking is not his cool calm self. He is either really nervous or full of it. But one thing I’ve learned in life is that you can’t be more upset about a person’s situation than they are. It’s her choice to stay, and if she’s okay with it than I am. Her life, her choice.
