This celtics team in a sense could of 3-peated. In 2008 they won, if it wasn't for garnett's injury in 2009 they would of been competing for a championship, and they came damn close in 2010

I feel like Rose would be better as a sixth man than a starter right now at this point in his career,he could still get around 20-26 mins and who knows,might even win SMOY while having to deal with less injuries because of the less minutes he's playing.

I wish D Rose would've stayed closer to this physique. All of the injuries began when he started to bulk up too much.
@freestylerandmc1019 жыл бұрын
Domingo W. He didn't bulk up too much and when you're the main scorer for your team and you're driving the lane every other possession your body needs to be tough enough to withstand all that contact, for an 82 regular season plus playoffs. His current physique wasn't the fault of his injuries, it was the lockout season along with the minor injuries that led up to his knees getting torn. Rip predicted perfectly that most of the bulls roster for the 11-12 season were going to be injured due to their bodies not getting the usual proper training and conditioning before the season started. Playing in a compressed season can really put a number on your body.
@domingow.179 жыл бұрын
Trust me dude, I studied kinesiology and there's no way he could've avoided injury given his weight gain combined with the pressure that his playing style puts on his body. Staying smaller was his best bet to preserve his knee health. I agree that the lockout had a lot to do with his injuries. The two go hand in hand IMO. He would have never gained any weight if he conducted his usual training routine. There's really no need for a point guard to gain too much mass if you ask me. Quickness and elusiveness, while minimizing how much contact they endure, should be their main priorities.
@Lowkey-yb4nm9 жыл бұрын
+Domingo W. Yea you're right, being a point guard myself at the collegiate level with a similar playing style, gaining weight takes a huge toll on your body and can cause a huge athletic decline in terms of verticality.
@oldmanrumpel8 жыл бұрын
+Domingo W. Well, you'd do well to go read up on his having been quoted in 2011 saying how he felt doping was a serious problem in the NBA...only to have his statement retracted the next day.

Hurts my heart watching the Knicks, cause they really holding Derrick back. A Derrick Rose lead team, always makes the playoffs. But with the Knicks, it's Melo team. Plus, John is a fucking horrible coach. Vinny is a better coach than him.
