What we witnessed in the 2010-2011 season from Rose was breathtaking. Night in night out watching him shred teams with acrobatic layups, jaw dropping dunks, and clutch moments was just amazing. Last time Chicago felt hope after the MJ era. He most definitely deserved that MVP.

I started seriously watching basketball in middle school because of D. Rose. I was always a casual fan up until then, I liked the Bulls because of their history, but Derrick made me not just fall in love with the franchise, but the game as a whole. Anybody that just looks at LBJ vs D-Rose stats that year of course would say LBJ should've won MVP. But what D-Rose did from carrying a squad to the best record in the league, the efficiency when he wasn't 6"8 260 lbs. But look at the game look at the moments. Guys now love to hate on his career now because of the injuries but that man was on a different level. Put on for the city and I miss those days. Damn. I knew this vid was coming but watching now just helps me get those memories. As a Chicago kid watching Derrick's story was crazy. The man took over the league in his first 3 years. Beating teams like the Lakers, Thunder, Heat, Magic all without a consistent roster around him was incredible. Taking the Celtics to 7 as a Rookie. Beating the Lakers on Christmas with that crazy floater. Ending Dragic in Phoenix. The things Drose was doing then were something you normally don't see from a player till they hit their prime. Watching Derrick Rose battle guys in this era (Harden, Curry, Lillard, Russ) was taken from us. Would he have brought us a chip? Probably. Was Thibs an idiot for keeping him in the game? Yes. But we can't change that now just gotta wait for someone to build a time machine so we can go back to 2012 smack Thibs and yank Derrick off the court.

They started trying to emulate Curry and Harden and a lot of current players, then they asked me who my favorite player was. Assuming they'd be clueless, I said Derrick Rose was my favorite to watch and imitate growing up. I honestly believe D. Rose is the NBA Bo Jackson: You had to see them, to understand it. The man was so good, looking back, we really thought the Bulls had a chance against the Heat. I like that basketball has become more efficient due to analytics but, you can’t use just numbers to define D Rose and that 2010-11 season. Seeing him get hurt for the last time with Chicago really did something to my spirit 😭

Javon Deezy still here Yeah the problem would’ve been chemistry. Jimmy butler would hate Carmelo because he wasn’t a hard worker and wanted all the attention to himself.
