@@DerrikRockne The live version of Wildest Dreams at the Grammy museum is done with an electric guitar, which totally changes the vibe of the song. Would be cool of you to do a quick listen of the song as it is, and then listen to the electric guitar acoustic. Might get the chanche to share some cool insight on how to extract the core of the song from a version, and change it's vibe and do a different version with another instrument. (A nice fact about Taylor is that she writes all of her songs with the explicit goal of them being good even if you strip down all production).

so I'm a novice guitarist, I'm training in classical and only know a few basic chords (the D/F# thing is completely new to me), so I'm not up to playing at this level yet, but you explained it so well! I'm very impressed by how you instantly parse what chords and patterns she's using just by listening. Taylor is my favorite artist so it's an absolute dream to learn her songs. I'll come back to this video when I feel a bit more confident in my skills. and you've earned a subscriber! seriously, great work. so clear and easy to follow.

It's amazing how this song can be broken down into parts like this. For casual listeners, the song itself is nice because of the melody and lyrics and the meaning. But hearing you dissect her performance, the conscious decision she makes in subtly increasing the intensity from verse to chorus and her overall dynamics - it really widens my perspective on her as an artist. Thank you! Looking forward to more of your content.

I’ve been trying to figure out how she played “Better Man” at the bluebird cafe for so long. I heard this song once, and it inspired me to start playing my guitar again after 2 years... I like how clearly you explained every step and I was able to play it after much practice... I wish you could do a tutorial of her song ENCHANTED too.. it's one of my favorites and I'd really love to learn how she played it Live/Acoustic... i tried to learn it from other youtubers but im not as satisfied with their tutorials as I was with your Cornelia street... Thank you! I really hope you read this comment!

Just discovered you. Luv it. "She's as big as she is for a reason." Shortest and best acknowledgement I've heard yet of a young woman, obviously born with tremendous talent (she spoke full words at ten months when most children haven't yet learned to walk) who has worked so hard at perfecting her skills. Luv your reaction when she lets loose with those powerful vocal chords driven from her diaphragm, in contrast with the head voice she uses on the album. I've been a superfan from the moment I heard her sing Our Song in 2007 and got to tell her personally in 2008 she'd be as big as the Beatles, my only other superfan musical entity. She is simply amazing.

@@DerrikRockne I don't watch your Taylor Swift 'how to' videos to learn how to play like her; I can't play anymore because I messed up my left hand in 2003. I watch just to see the looks of utter amazement on your face when the breadth and scope of her talent comes altogether at peak moments. She has no equal. I'm hoping she considers doing a series of outdoor concerts next year with just her and a guitar and piano. I have no doubt she could draw crowds of a quarter million and up. And I would drive halfway across this continent to attend one. Or two. Or five.

Dude it’s just 4 chords, that’s not something u should get recognized for, she didn’t even use bar chords but had to use a capo

@@niekvanwensenactually the original chords to this song without capo are C G Am F, chords any guitarist can play including her, she just did this one with different chords because it sounded better to her? idk so don’t drag someone because they used a capo lol not cool

@@emiliab9322 you missed a whole comment-war here a year ago😂 all the comments got deleted I guess. Anyway, I’m not mocking her guitar skills, I think that’s very shallow to do. However I find it a bit cringe to say “finally her guitar skills get some recognition” to such a big artist who has absolutely made it but clearly isn’t a guitar virtuoso in any way and thus doesn’t need to also be praised for outstanding guitar skills she doesn’t have. If she would be some unknown special guitarist it would be completely appropriate to say that she’s finally getting recognition. It’s just a bit pretentious to me now. Nothing wrong with using a capo, look at Tommy Emmanuel for example, but praising someone’s guitarskills based on open cowboy chords just doesn’t make that much sense.
