This is an absolutely beautiful and underrated song. I'm glad I'm starting to pick back up on it. The lyrics are seriously deep and emotional, and the chorus is utterly beautiful.

Yes I agree that Eisbrecher and also Megaherz are better than Rammstein, although the first time I heard 'Gott Sein' I thought it was Rammstein. I do love Rammstein but some of their song's are terrible and Tills voice when translated to English is atrocious.

@TEHSTONEDPUMPKIN7 жыл бұрын
"...how hard it it to learn?" Think you need to finish working on your English their, before ya go tryin to learn German mate. But honestly though from what I've heard its slightly more difficult than French or Spanish, but kinda hard to say for cretin most likely varies from person to person.
@SDCustoms7 жыл бұрын
Sexual Tyrannosaurus Lol that was auto correct being stupid... But it would be cool to know German, you say it's slightly harder than Spanish, I've taken two years of Spanish and am about to complete a full year of Latin... they were both pretty easy to learn, just a bit harder to retain that knowledge in the long run.
@theanafront37467 жыл бұрын
I would say it's WAY easier than Spanish or French, because the English language borrows (in my opinion) more heavily from the Germanic split than the Latin one. This means that many words are strikingly similar, and grammatical structure easier to understand. The way I keep it straight grammatically is to imagine the 'Ye Olde Englishe' way of talking ex. bible, Shakespeare, Canterbury tales (or any old/middle english text): "thou" = "you" = "du", "thee" = "Sie" or "ye" = "sie" (you or they). Vocabulary-wise, there are tons of words that are the exact same as in English (and just as many that sound the same, but can mean something totally different, so look out). ex. music = Musik, vs. (Eng) the Hall = die Halle, der Korridor and (Deu) der Hall = the echo, reverb. There's a ton more to it than that of course (and I'm not perfect yet, either, lol) but you should definitely take a class or two, it's a lot of fun to learn other languages - 'cause it means more friends to make! :D

No. It literally means to 'go down', and in that sense means 'to perish' (think of burial, going under). The second half of the line makes it clear. Auferstehen means 'to resurrect', as in to rise again from the dead.
