Kurt Riedmuller Thanks, very happy to hear you enjoyed it. It is a lot of fun fishing that stretch of the river. When you get out there, let us know how you did.

Another great video. My wife & I met you at the animal hospital last week. How's Geneva?

Gus Wojo It was a pleasure meeting you both. Thanks for asking about my dog, Geneva. She’s doing pretty good. Turns out she has a stomach ulcer and the meds they gave her seem to be doing the trick. Her arthritis still gets her down but we’re trying some new meds for that. The vet couldn’t believe that at 13 and a half years old her test results were coming back so perfect. God willing she still has a couple more years in her. She gave me a big scare this time. Thank you so much for watching the show. I’m sorry we didn’t have a chance to chat a little more that night. Hope all is well with your pet as well. I didn’t get a chance to ask what had brought you guys in that night.

Spot on Fishing our dog must have eaten something in the front yard that didn't agree with her. She nearly passed out trying to expel it. All is well. Thank you and best wishes to you and your family.

Tony could you tell me which direction the green marker point is from big basin
@tonysspotonfishing
@tonysspotonfishing 4 жыл бұрын
jeremiah caldwell if you come out of Big Basin, turn left and go under I55. Green Marker Point is just past the Rookery where the new construction is just before the Casino. It would be on the NW side of the river. One of my favorite areas and one I’ll come back to at various times in a day as the spot will reload with fish.

have you ever fished the des plaines river out of Lemont? If not i recommend you try it, I've had a lot of luck throwing a golden johnson spoon for pike. Just this year already caught 3 just over 20 inches.

MegaViper 01 Oh yeah, Pike Fishing the river to the North can be a lot of fun. We usually catch them on smaller bucktails. They are a blast to catch. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.

Tony is there a certain color you think that part of the des plaines loves as far as largemouth go?
@tonysspotonfishing

Dave Hernandez For spinnerbaits either white or blue pearlescent white is great. If the wind would’ve allowed us to wacky worm the weed edges out there we would’ve been running a 4 inch Yum Dinger in Pearl. As far as soft plastics go, be it creature baits or even finesse jigs, Summer Craw, Green Pumpkin and Black and Blue are the best colors. Great question! Thank you so much for watching and for commenting!

joe blass We launch out of Big Basin in Channahon. It is a pay ramp, $6 in and $6 out, so $12 total. Or you can launch at the Conservation Area on the Kankakee, for free and take a short boat ride to the DesPlaines. Basin is just off of Bluff Road and I55. The Conservation Area is off of River Road and I55.

@@tonysspotonfishingjust got a 14’ v bottom boat. Been eyeing the conservation area launch. Google maps has a lot of barges. What’s the protocol? Just stay out of their way? Love your videos. Got me on the kings when I lived in the city years ago.

Hey Tony! Your videos are great, fishing local areas and sharing your knowledge is really nice for anglers like me who live in the area and want to learn more about the fishing. Unlike many big youtubers you are a genuine person and your videos are totally authentic, it's a great change to watch your videos because you're a regular guy who just loves to fish. Thanks for the great videos and check out my little channel if you've got a chance.

Blake's Outdoors Sorry I didn’t see your comment till just now. Thank you so much for the kind words and compliment. We have a great production staff here at Blue Brian Michaels Entertainment. They make the whole show run smoothly. I have the easy job, show up, fish and talk fishing. The rest is on their shoulders. I’ve always loved the fishing industry. I grew up around it and have worked in it my whole life. My Dad always told me something that has stuck with me, “Fishing is always fun, but it’s even more fun when you catch fish.” That’s always been how I look at it....what can I do to help fellow anglers enjoy their time more on the water. Thanks again for watching and thank you so much for the comment. We appreciate it.

FLYABLE Ya know, probably the one thing I love most about Fishing is learning something new on the water every time I’m out. It doesn’t matter if it’s a body of water I’ve fished for 30 years or someplace I went to for the first time. There is always something to be learned from every trip on the water. The one thing we always try to show on Spot On Fishing is being versatile. Sometimes the best ideas and plans based on what the text book says we should do on the water doesn’t always work that way. Mother Nature keeps us on our toes, that’s for sure. Thanks so much for watching and thank you for commenting. We truly appreciate it.

Thanks for sharing the story of that Marine’s kids foundation. I was in the Corps years ago. The world is filled with evil. Make sure that you have the Lord Jesus Christ as savior- is what I advise people. “If you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (from the Lake of Fire) - Romans 10:9.
