Current weekend lunch is a ploughmans (cheese, ham, onion, pickle) in a wrap, folded into a pocket and toasted in a toaster. Whilst the melted cheese sticks it together, the wrap gets crunchy and brittle. Vac packing it might be the answer. An idea for the fishing line eyelets is use something like Mullien stalk and pop a hole for the line through the pith. As seen on Ranger Survival and Field Craft channel's latest video, where has some for using as a bobber.

This wee bottle is mine, there are many like it but this wee bottle is mine 😂 that bit cracked me up, nice work on the rod and fish shame down these ways aren't much opportunity for some trout but always other options

Nice one Des, good to see John back out. Surely that video qualifies as a 'catch and cook', good skills sir. Not sure about those kettles though, a bit romantic arent they!! 😂

Cheers matey it certainly was. Leave the kettles alone 🤣

That fish looked the business, but I can only afford Fish Fingers. The ring pull and the widget inside could be useful bits for your Heath-Robinson fishing rod. ATVB. Robert. 😉👍

@@descattysBushcraftbydescattys I might have missed a video, but you talked about your fire gel (soap mixed with something), but my question is, how did you get it into a used Toothpaste tube? Cheers.
@descattysBushcraftbydescattysАй бұрын
@RobertsBulgaria it's soap and Coleman fuel.....I tell you what I'll do a demo video of filling up the tubes 😉👍

You're enjoying yourself and that's all that matters 👌🏻 when using wood for cooking it's safer to use only Sycamore as it is non toxic and safe, other woods are questionable 👍🏻
@descattysBushcraftbydescattysАй бұрын
So what do you use if there is no sycamore? I'm curious 🤔
