Hi Dez loving the videos as allways, useless bit of info re Nettles that you most likely know, Male and female nettles are different and you can tell this time of year by the flowers, female nettle flowers are large clusters males are single droplets ,the reason I'm mentioning is ,I'm wondering do males or female nettles make a better cordage, and also does older nettles make better cordage, can you remember when I demonstrated, nettle tinder, well the nettles gathered in may worked a treat ,nettles gathered and processed around July were difficult to use. Anyway loving the videos and the humour.

I've done a bit of trapping to get food in the wild but one thing I've never had a go at is fishing , a haven't a jar of glue, I should make more of an effort to learn really but probably the fact I'm not a big fish eater is the main reason I've not bothered. All my friends were fishers so it's not as if I didn't have the opportunity to learn. 👍🏻

Yes Dave fish ain't for everyone, but obviously if your near somewhere to put out lines etc would certainly get some good nutrinos

No need for reels Des if knowledge is absorbed, a springy sapling and a trigger mechanism can easily be made from nature negating unnecessary gear/kit, all that's needed is line, some small split weights and small barbed hooks, knowledge is key not gadgets 👌🏻👍🏻
