So glad I cam across your video(s)! I'll be using this framework to revamp my entire notion. This has also helped me work out a better navigation system so that I don't have to go to the notion sidebar as much. Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful knowledge!

the advantage of the database solution is to personalize the views (as I call them) for every team member. My list of views is different compared to the list from somebody else.

What do you have on the Lunar Team page. It looks like that is where the DBs are; but do you add anything else here?

Love it. What are the databases in the 'Data Stack' page stored in? Is it another database? I'm only guessing that because of the 'Home' and 'Search' at the top.

Column on the right is required because of the "hidden" native sidebar from Notion. Is there a video on your database stack?

Hello Josh! Could you please explain how "Creating New Perspectives" (= new slates) is done. I can't find a way to recreate it. It is kind of a "one has to have it" for working in your framework "The Perspectives Method" - Thank you so much.
@antonkaufmann98482 ай бұрын
Hello Josh! Thank you for creating such great KZbin tutorials about working with Notion and getting the best out of it. I have to dive deeper into the working of your Perspectives Method and try to find a way to use it for my work with Notion. I was curious about the template you offered in your video and the URL link to download it. Unfortunately, the link is currently unavailable. It would have been more beneficial and user-friendly to not be redirected to a 404 error page, but rather to a page elucidating the reason for the download's deactivation. You could have put a line of explanation under the URL link above. Nevertheless, I highly recommend watching your tutorials. You are one of the best KZbin tutorial video creators for Notion.

Hey Anton, thanks for bringing that up! It’s not because I no longer want them available, we just happened to build a brand new website over at notionstate.com, including hosting it somewhere else. The template pages didn’t get transferred over so I need to go put those back! Will try to do that asap

how did you make the Title of the page in the centre but the contents of the page is in full width?
@JoshRedd6 ай бұрын
If the page has columns in it, it allows you to adjust the width. Works perfectly for perspectives since it uses 2 columns! So you can keep the page normal width which keeps the title in the center, but still widen the content. Much better aesthetic in my opinion.

@@JoshRedd I meant how you did the new way in Perspective with the Sync at the right side instead of the old way of Perspective. I tried it and could not figure out how to self reference a page in the same page. Thanks for taking time to reply.

Hey Josh. Lots of good stuff here, and I'll continue to work through your vids. Two suggestions from a high school teacher. (No, I'm not selling services. Just trying to be helpful.) First, like almost everyone who makes Notion instructional videos, you're talking too fast. I figure the first person to make these videos talked like this, and everyone's been copying the approach. The problem is, some of these are complex ideas, and people need time, even a couple of seconds, to process them. Watch any video from a master teacher or communicator and count the words per minute. You'll see what I mean. So you're thinking, that's going to make these videos way too long. That's where suggestion two comes in. You can't seem to resist mentioning extensions to what you're teaching. Then you say something like, "but that's for another video," or "I'll show you this later on." Leave that stuff out completely. Takes discipline, but not only does it make the videos much shorter, it lets the viewer keep their mind focused on they core of what you're presenting. Every time you make a digression, it's harder to absorb the key points. I understand the impulse -I've done lots of training myself, and I love the material I'm teaching, and I can't resist sharing all the amazing things that stem from what I'm saying. But resist it you must. It will make your videos far more valuable. Now, I'm off to watch more of your videos. Keep it up.

Late reply here but really appreciate this feedback! Delivered really well via text too! You're definitely right, my mind wants to "cover all the bases" for the non-existent expert at the back of the room. Feedback well taken. I haven't done any videos recently since having my first kid. But I hope to be better at this when I get back to it. Thanks again!
