You aren't alone! I *dread* the transcription process, and - being totally transparent - tend to "overlook" it because of the time involved. And that isn't fair in any way, shape or form to anyone who needs support with accessibility. So. Guess where I'm heading next? Thank you, Louise!!!! (P.S. Can't wait to dive into the UWA update. I have time set aside in May to do the whole thing over again.)

This is amazing!!!!!!!!!! MIND BLOWING. Love it. Thank you so much for sharing and showing this tool. Can I save the audio separately? I want to be able to record video and use the audio to podcasting. Is that what is shown as "audi" export in 5:29?

@@mm.rosado Hey Mila! Yes, you should be able to save it separately as I know many people use it for podcasts specifically 🙂You should be able to do this by clicking "share" > "export" > and then selecting "audio"!

I just watched your other video (fave edit tricks) and you describe there how you insert canva graphics into imovie, and that was amazing, so easy! Can we use and add canva graphics in our edits inside descript as well? If that's not possible, can we add canva graphics to the video after being edited in descript?

Wow, that's fantastic! I love the tip at the end that Descript also allows us to import existing videos to create free transcripts. That is super helpful for existing Zoom videos that I have. Thanks!

Hey Kelly! Yay! So glad you love this 💛 You can do this by creating the image in Canva and simply dragging it over to Descript! Here is an article they have on how to do this (except with B-Roll footage): help.descript.com/hc/en-us/articles/360051313051-Video-Effects-Overview

Absolutely! You can detach audio from video using Descript, so if you wanted to download just an audio file, then you could 🙂

Will this work for INSTAGRAM? DESCRIPT TOOL . Will this work for FOOD vlogs or videos showing only food bowls with movements? No need to show face, right? Does DESCRIPT have sound effects? Like a TYPEWRITER sound on every letter of a word that pops up ?

Yes! This will definitely work for creating or editing creating vlogs, or Instagram posts! You can do this without showing your face, too 🙂 There are some studio sound effects that you can add, or you can find an external sound effect and upload it into Descript for your video!

This is something I‘ve been looking for, I spend so much time editing the audio phrase by phrase because of little mistakes that it actually made editing very frustrating, even though I love creating videos about my projects. I‘ll take a closer look at this :)

It really can be! I love Descript though for being able to easily embed videos instead of exporting them 🙌🙂 This helps saves so much time!

Hey Kim! Unfortunately, not so much! You would have to export the video and apply any external touch-ups and then import back into Descript 🙂

Hey Brandon! Do you mean in Asana? 🙂 I simply use the trackpad on my computer to scroll sideways and it will show the remaining columns! I hope that works for you, too!

Descript!! I use it for KZbin, my course videos, and for creating reels 🙌 They have tons of graphics to choose from, too!

This is an option under Descript! It allows you to film both yourself and your screen at the same time 🙂

Hey Kassandra! I still love Loom but this tool definitely has my attention with it's similar features 👀 For now, I think it's task dependant - but from what I've seen so far, you could use Descript to replace Loom if you wanted a tool with a few extra features!

Hey Rani! This may still depend on the size of the video and where you're uploading to - but in most cases I've just been directly embedding 🙂 Especially for the videos inside Uplevel With Asana!
