Desert camo painting M4

Nicely done, and it looks great. I live in the desert and use a similar technique and colors. Start with tan and then spray dark brown through cutout shapes instead of sponge dab. I found that spraying dark brown in short bursts from a distance softens sharp edges and adds shading to bright spots. I also use a bit of green. I did an AK with mag, hung it in a bush and it was invisible from 20 feet.

Paint is Krylon so dries fast, not long wait. I used paint thinner to wipe down the colours.

elflakeador09 i know what you mean, but you can always use paint remover if you don't like the result. This is how i think before painting a gun. Just give it a try, remove if unsatisfied.

Just painting many thin layers, few minutes to dry between layers. And using good camopaint, I use Krylon brand paint. Yes, I'm just happy people still watch this video. I do have another few camopaint videos also.

Two questions: 1) How does the paint not make the components stick while they are attached during the sprayng process? 2) What is that grip or attachment on the sides of the quad rail? I see that there is still rail room for attachment on the top and bottom but the side rails are hidden with that curved plate attachment of sorts? What is that?

1) By using correct paint (Krylon in this case) you won't have sticking issues. 2) Those are just rail protectors, to protect rails and your hands.
