Though this foreign produced film seemed a little far fetched,it is still good. ..It was actually based on a particular true assassination attempt on Winston not widely reported..and was just one of many attempts on his life..this incident was one of the more closest attacks.All undertaken by the German Abwehr and it's branch of Fallschimjaeger paratroops.Another excellent film relating to kill attempts on Churchill is the excellent THE EAGLE HAS LANDED,with Michael Caine,Donald Sutherland, Robert Duvall and Larry Hagman as the bumbling American officer..a great fave film of mine simply because of the plot and great actors and all the excellent war kit they used..brilliant production values as well.' 👍😊.. 'out of five stars.'.🌟🌟🌟.. (/-\)..

i am Canadian. I and everyone in unit and others all wore beret sloped over right ear. so did every Brit I met. Sorry Woldermatter, on that you are wrong, unless everyone in military between WWII and when I served, decided it was more fashionable to slope it the other way.

Alcohol is worse thing for gunshot wounds, it doesn’t sterilize and dilates the blood vessels that increases blood flow. It’s dramatic though.

I like these black/white movies, but they used alcohol & cigarettes for everything! 90% of the time somebody was offering you booze or cigarettes. The movies pushed these 2 vices nonstop. So many stars boozed themselves to death, or died of cancer in those days. They didn’t know how deadly those vices were!😢

Why would you land a commando unit out in the middle of a dessert, 8 days march from their objective with only one canteen and no backpack. At the specified, once mouthful per hour, the canteens would be empty in 15 hours.

Cardinals and Yankees were in different leagues and would not have played a double header or any games during WW2. I thought that was how the guard was going to identify these guys as spies.

Jim Kania , In 1942 the St Louis Cardinals won the World Series 4 game to 1 over the NY Yankees. On 5-17-42 The Yankees split a double header with the St Louis Browns in St Louis. 2-4, 3-2.

It,s very sad that the makers of this movie would ask the watchers of this film to believe a woman out in the middle of the burning war torn desert would be moving out through the desert with 5 or 6 soldiers in a mini shirt [tight huh].🙄

Many problems with this film. Difficult to hear as sound was low but if trying imitate British Commandos, beret is wrong colour (it appears to be black), hat badges are incorrect, beret is worn to the wrong side of the head, they did not, and still do not wear medal ribbons into their campaigns, wrong uniforms, incorrect weaponry also not held as per regulations, wrong cigarettes during episode in minefield, and many other things that should have been corrected before making the film. They were, if British, usually designated Royal Marine Commando. When or where this was supposed to have taken place, I do not know, but U.S.A. military Police? Doubtful.
