They're quite aggressive and will certainly go for humans given half the chance.

15:38 - quite a different thing: to go to the island to HAVE breakfast vs. going to the island to BE breakfast (for a Komodo dragon)... reports are: their bites are quite poisonous. As our Dad would say, "It only takes one to spoil your whole day!"
