Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me a sinner and lead me on towards Heaven along the way of Thy cross. Or pray for others also more fruitful. Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on us. Forgive us our sins and lead us to Heaven. Alleluia! Amen Glory be to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen

Sometimes, Fr. Paul, these "attacks" can be God's work, to shake us and change us for the better. And the demons are those who fight not to see the truth. God bless! I will keep praying for you and your family.🙏🏻

Yes...Papou Ioseph...rereading My Geronda ..."From then on, the prayer, which was given to him in such a miraculous manner, did not cease being said within him until his final breath! In other words, he was taught by God Himself, just like St. Symeon the New Theologian and many other Neptic Fathers. Francis was counted worthy of this great charisma at the age of 24." (He hadn't even been tonsured a monk yet. What a spiritual giant!)

That was really good, thanks Father. When you mentioned how it was suggested to pray the Jesus Prayer as if whispering into the ear of Christ, I suddenly had tears of repentance in my eyes start falling down my cheaks... which might be simply a distraction if in prayer, but I was simply listening to the video and 'tried it'... so I simply took it for what it was. It's such a useful suggestion. Thank you especially for that.

Father Bless, I have a question: At 6:45 you quoted Saint Nektarios saying "...Pray the Jesus Prayer as if you were whispering it directly into the ear of Christ..." I love this! But, how are we supposed to achieve this without using the imagination in our prayer? Also, my son recently burnt his hand picking up a hot coal that had fallen from the Censor during Great Vespers😲! He's fine, glory to God, but your situation reminded me of my Brave Son. We will be praying for a speedy recovery for you! Thank you Father Paul!

You don’t have to imagine Christs ear next to your lips in order to speak as though you are whispering to some one. I think that’s what the is meant. Like, if f he said the opposite, pray like Christ is across the yard, that wouldn’t mean to imagine Christ is far, it would mean, shout!

Thank you for reading from this- I normally have a habit of taking deep breaths since I am a very slow prayer but now I realise from 29:33 that it’s the very thing that’s causing me to get sleepy and distracted ( minus interference from the annoying little brat… I refuse to call that evil presence any fearsome or lofty title… such a pest )

I think it might be called Akathist to St. Paisius (Velichkovsky) of the Holy Mountain and Niamts - Holy Cross Monastery Google it since idk what country you are in. There is a free PDF of his life and mission at "scribd" and you can find other free PDFs at St Paisius Monastery website. 🙏🏻☦️

How should I respond to attacks during and after prayer, if I'm praying the Jesus prayer, and my response to attacks is to say it more and then the attacks get worse, pain in chest, extreme amounts of fear and anxiety, things I can't even explain, waking me up and I respond by praying more, is there a way to stop this. This seems to only happen when I make it a point to pray.

Whenever experiences happen.... Why should we stop for that very thing is trying to separate us from christ I think if we look at it that way it's good

Dear Father, this isn't something regular people should. It is more like Hindus prayer. This is for monks not regular people.
