Desert Point Lombok - We scored!

Desert Point June 11th & 12th, 2024;
Some call it a hat-trick, others a trifecta. We got so much footage in two days we had to make 3 videos so let's just say we got lucky. This is the third and final video in the series for this swell. Desert Point (Bangko Bangko), like Padang Padang are finicky surf spots. When it breaks, you got to be on it. Swell size must be big enough, the swell interval must be long enough, low tide is ideal, and winds must be favorable. If all these things do not align, you might get skunked. Yes, Bangko Bangko gets better than this but we are happy with what we got on this swell.

Thank you for the feedback. Many of our videos have just the sound of the waves. Adding music is a challenge. Some purists dislike anything but the sounds of the waves. Even those that appreciate music are divided on what type of music is enjoyable. At the end of the day no matter what we do, some will dislike it, prefer something else. With that said, that's is why l appreciate your comment 👏

@mattjones3963 Yes, no doubt the crowds are bigger globally in 2024 than, let's say, 1994. Also, keep in mind that in 1994, there were about 5.6 billion people on the planet, now around 8 billion. Who are any of us to tell others they can not surf? The positive side is that more people are enjoying the sport now. For us that have been doing it longer (l started surfing in 1964), we can either complain and be negative or help teach surf etiquette in the water, which is desperately needed.
